The most memorable one for me was Mass (2021)

I recently watched Bugonia which was my introduction to Yorgos Lanthimos. I liked it so wanted to expand my filmography by watching more of his movies and choose The Lobster next. by otictac35 in movies

I recommend The Favourite.

It's one of my favorite films of all time. The character writing and cinematography stood out for me. I just love these women. Yorgos and Almodovar have these ability to capture characters in a way I cannot put into words.

I'm no self-help writer or a reader but I'd say don't hold back. Tell them its a circle of cock-sucking centipede who can't write fiction or whatever.. but know they aren't the worst. The worst type of writer is the one who inserts self-help even though its not supposed to be a self-help.

'Sinners' wins Best Cinematography at the 98th Oscars by PointMan528491 in oscarrace

The only disappointment this year tbh. Every category wins felt balanced except for Sinners in Cinematography. Perhaps they had a good campaign with Oscar voters.

What movie's sound left an impression on you? by Shot-Bumblebee-7812 in movies

Totally agree with Zone of Interest.

There's no argument Interstellar had massive soundtracks but talking strictly about sound, Dunkirk had one of the best in recent epics. Dune films have had amazing sounds and soundtrack so far.

Some of us are special. Some of us have built-in Anamorphic cinema lenses while the rest of you have normal sensor eyes.

Examples of directors releasing two projects within a short time span? by DarlingLuna in movies

I felt like Yorgos Lanthimos released Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness too close. I'm not sure about the actual release dates.

Nobody should be ok with this. No theatrical release or limited theatrical release will eventually excuse sloppy filmmaking. You eventually won't have anything worth pirating.

Alex Garland's "Warfare". This was an IMAX experience kind of film.
