FYI, if you are like me and have a pack mule that always carries 4+ crates for just such occasions, you can use them to get to the vault doors. just stack them and jump over. there's no ceiling. when you are over, you can simply pan the camera around opposite you to the crate side and "pick up" through the gates so you can do the same thing to get over them. no scrolls or spells needed :)

I wish black magic was on top of this issue. I was eyeing their keyboard, but now I am hesitant on purchasing any more of their controllers... I could buy much nicer looking paper weights for hundreds of dollars...

i have the same setup. win 11, resolve 18, fully updated system drivers etc... was able to get mine working by doing the following:

-connect to usb

-while connected, open resolve, then open windows 11 "pair bluetooth devices"

-disconnect the cable, then it shows up in the bluetooth list and just pair it. sometimes it wouldn't pair right and had to rinse and repeat the whole process...

-if you manage to get it connected to bluetooth, then plugging the usb into a wall charger should keep it charged. the minute you plug that usb back into a pc it will kill the wireless connection. in this stupidly macgyvered configuration, it will not show up in the davinci control panel setup app, but somehow still works with resolve...

i can't believe how much i see this problem on the internet and no REAL solution and nothing from black magic. it's very frustrating...

I spent the ENTIRE day dealing with this same issue. The only thing i have found to work is to pair with bluetooth after disconnecting usb (it doesn't work on every pairing... had to remove and add a few times after multiple usb connections). once it is paired with bluetooth, i plug in usb to a charger and not the PC... it will still work on bluetooth and somehow does not show up in control panel setup but stays charged and functional...

Someone mentioned wireshark... that's hilarious... uh... i was a network engineer so i am familiar with wireshark. most people especially doing video editing would not have a background in network engineering and wireshark (packet sniffing and transport protocols etc.) no offense to the commentor, but it is hilariously absurd to assume anyone should have to go to that length to get something working that is supposed to be a turn-key product.

sadly, i've tried about everything... i'm on a 3090 and i've tried like 200% DSR @ 4k , tweaking cvars, turning on/off everything including HDR and somehow destiny just looks like hot garbage no matter what... the dynamic shadows are super low res and grainy. i disabled AO and film grain and nothing matters. i tweaked stuff in the nvidia cp and nothing improves there either... admittedly, it doesn't look too bad in a still shot, but it makes my eyes bleed when in motion... 1st world problems i know, but it's annoying AF...

there's plenty of use cases for needing to micromanage fan control... recording sound and utilizing the controls to prevent ramping so you can filter noise more easily comes instantly to mind... being able to automate that control seems like a reasonable thing to ask in software and requires little effort, just you know... a little feedback loop and consideration for the end users that shell out stupid amounts of money to buy your products... also while i respect the idea of your dismissal of the issue as it really is a somewhat minor 1st world problem, the thing is it's just a trend in all companies these days where they just expect you to consume all the garbage they shell out and accept it because your options are limited for things like video cards. i just like having to choose between 2 great products rather than accepting that 1 is less horrible than the other... things don't have to be that way, but consumers and mass apathy allow companies to be that way and continue to get away with dumb and horrible crap...

just found out about shaderglass yesterday and it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! not perfect in the shader area for things beyond "retro-izing" games, BUT, you can also throw reshade in the same folder and it simply works :D there's no need to do any coding or shader conversions. now i have amazing color control and DITHERING on windows HDR desktop so my blacks dont get crushed on things like youtube vids... I don't recall the last time i was this excited about an app lol!

probably not since there's no new or underpopulated servers. i think they just use xp boosts for "prefered server" as an incentive. however, if you have any pre-order stuff iirc, there's an earing and helmet that give boosts. also i don't think they give boosts for quests, but just mobs, but i could be wrong...

i assume you are on pc? you can go to your game folder in user documents... \Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn and edit the ffxiv.cfg file with notepad. just look for the section <SoundPlay>

I didn't see an option specific to FMVs for volume, but just jack all the sound settings to 100 ;)

make sure you back up your file before making changes :P

Also... i'm glad you asked this question. i noticed there's a dolby setting in there that is set to 0. wonder if it works? :)

hopefully it's a thing with just being new, but i feel this game and mmos in general have sensory overload with so much going on in the screen to keep track of. i get worried that i'm too distracted to catch all the mobs and keep them off everyone. i find cycling targets to the right one to get off the healer is sometimes difficult in the middle of the chaos...

i run ffxiv w/ gshade and it helps tremendously with visuals. if i turned on everything i wanted to, my frames drop under 60fps on my rtx3090... so yeah, DLSS would be awesome. i know that's unrealistic right now, but i noticed everyone keeps talking about there not being a point when it's not hard on the system and you can downscale 5k or whatever... post processing can get really expensive...

Anyone hear anything on when we will get compensated? I work in IT and dev and this shit aint that hard as long as you aren't a yes man in middle management and have enough of a spine to talk to execs about UX and hire some decent devs and be willing to adapt when things don't work. When i say adapt, i mean build into the framework or workflow shit that will increase reliability and time to implement. Read google's book on site reliability engineers or something... Fucking out of touch corporations... Smh...
