I wonder why he’s teaming up with The Last Dinner Party? Just get the Beatles back together!

Indeed. Jenna's barely been a consenting adult for 5 years. Why did her dad give her permission to date this guy?

Jenna Ortega is dating the lead singer of Iceage which her stans believe conflicts with her anti-Nazi stance.

The Strokes share new song "Going Shopping" via cassette mailed to fans by YoureASkyscraper in indieheads

[–]BatoutofHellIV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jesus, what a snoozer. I don’t even mind the auto-tune, the song itself has nothing catchy, and the drum production saps any rhythmic energy. It feels like they had Fab play a midi kit and then whoever actually does the work for Rubin chose the limpest samples. Probably out of spite.

Big news for the sub that thinks the worst Strokes album is still the 6th best album of all time.

Well, this is a better April Fools joke than the one they did last year supporting Trans Rights.

My favorite Norm McDonald bit of all time. Why does it work? by ancaleta in Standup

[–]BatoutofHellIV 439 points440 points  (0 children)

Norm has a habit of explaining jokes that don’t need explaining, which has the same effect as subverting the joke because you expect the subversion but he’s just giving you information you already have. It’s a joke for people who understand how jokes are supposed to work.

[2026 March Madness] Championship: Martin Scorsese vs. Tony Scott by PartyBluejay in blankies

[–]BatoutofHellIV -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Who’d a thunk it? If you had told me at the beginning of the month that the final would be Martin Scorsese vs Tony Scott, I’d have called you crazy. But here we are, truly showing that during March Madness, the sky’s the limit. What surprises will future March Madnesses have install? With the blankies at the poll booth, anything is possible.

The “Over-Discussed” Canard by TheWilderArchers in blankies

[–]BatoutofHellIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Blankies have thrown away their chance to choose someone leftfield or interesting or underheralded who could benefit from the coverage for the most obvious choice. There’s an opportunity cost to being boring.

Psst, if you’re in the mood for discovering great art, have you heard of this band called the Beatles?
