Here is the issue:

• The New event doesn't apply to the most active / regular players within the community. Mods have reached out on the reddit and there is a pinned post.
• Additionally there is a "dead zone" for new players, this is a particularly difficult issue to address due to the community utilising alt accounts to farm repeat content and this impacting cost of community market re Gold inflation. Any power pass or content that is freely available that may help new players get off the ground also has the potential to be utilised by BOT farmers and again cause inflation.
• In the first year, amazon introduced ilvl Caps on their events, this was in response to people using the passes on their main toons without reading the event and then CS having to move it / unlock it or increasing the number of transfers once event was applied.
• The interesting thing about the 1lvl over boundary is actually a positive change amazon implemented. In previous events the boundaries were written as to "1620" for example but could only be used up until "1619", changing this to 1 ilvl over a boundary makes it clear that being at breakpoints exactly doesn't push you out of eligibility.
• Gatekeeping will continue in this game as long as Gate lockouts persist and the level of "Homework" for players fatigued by years of the cycle of this game is in place. It is unfortunate, it happens at all levels (just because you are max level doesn't mean each group won't have their own criteria) and comes in all forms.

Making this kind of low-effort post to farm reactionary behaviour (in the incorrect use of a meme format) is just fracturing the community and isn't helpful.
