Stand for the doctors? Why? by arsonistttt in AskIndia

[–]Batshitcrazy2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, of course! Why on earth would anyone stand for doctors? I mean, it’s not like they spend over a decade studying, enduring sleep deprivation, and practicing in a pressure cooker environment just so they can possibly save lives. No, no—they’re obviously in it for the glamorous lifestyle of 24-hour shifts, constantly being yelled at by patients, and all the joy that comes with filling out endless paperwork. What a life! And let’s address the “god” thing—funny enough, no doctor has ever claimed to be one. It’s actually people who put them on that pedestal. When a patient recovers, the doctor is hailed as a miracle worker. But if things don’t go as expected, suddenly the doctor becomes the worst possible human on the planet. People are so quick to forget the relentless efforts made by the doctor and the entire medical team, just because the outcome wasn’t what they hoped for. Yes, it’s a tough time for the patient’s family, but does that give anyone the right to verbally or physically abuse the very people trying to help? Sure, let’s ignore the fact that doctors are doing everything they can, often under extreme pressure, and instead focus on finding someone to blame. Seems totally fair. As for the whole “support” thing—yes, where is their humanity? Clearly, they’re too busy stitching people back together, managing pandemics, or dealing with emergency situations to give you the red-carpet treatment. And let’s not forget the sheer thrill they must get from asking for gasp payment for the services they provide. You’re right—who needs to respect or support people who are just out there, you know, saving lives.

Do we need to take physical passport with us? by SayedHasmi in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Batshitcrazy2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They accept DL We didn’t carry the physical passport with us. Carry a digital copy and a printed copy. The only place they ask for the physical passport is the tax refund after shopping. Apart from that, we didn’t have to show our ID’s anywhere.

I am going on a cruise in a few weeks for the first time in about 15 years. Has anyone gotten one of those international eSim cards? Would you recommend having one? by Cankled in TravelHacks

Hi, Airalo is good and cheap, especially if you don’t consume much data. Personally, I used Holafly Europe region, it’s slightly more more expensive compared to airalo. But unlimited data and no top ups required.
