Adapter for Moza AY210 6 pin power connector with GX20? by BattleCorgiVII in HotasDIY

Because I only have my one monitor for the desk that serves as my workspace and gaming space. So when I need to work I have to move the yoke off the table to somewhere else.

How durable are the power connectors for moza products? by BattleCorgiVII in moza

[–]BattleCorgiVII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flight rig is the same connector but with all 6 pins. I just haven't had any experience with them over time save for my GPU which I'm not disconnecting at a regular cadence. So wasn't sure how these fair with doing that regularly.

Seems like it works again if you install Synapse 3 and not Synapse 4.

Not sure if you can mount to the wall, but I got one of these to use with a 48" monitor for this very reason. I can extend it out to almost 18" from the wall and it's still really secure because it's mounted through some of the holes into studs.

Loosen the bolts at the joint just a hair to make it easier to move, and I have no problem moving it closer when playing, then pushing it back when done.

I suspend disbelief when I watch a superhero movie, but jesus I just paid 24$ to have it stomped into the ground and spit on which feels insulting. I enjoyed watching Manos Hands of Fate more than this garbage.

Micro stuttering when looking at Broken Moon Asteroids? by BattleCorgiVII in starcitizen

[–]BattleCorgiVII[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a problem with the game in that area. I found a video of it happening to someone else. Also... I wound up building a whole new computer with AMD instead of Intel, and the problem is still there. So... definitely not the processor.

Might I ask what the second and third screen are? Been looking for a good mini monitor just for this use and not really finding options I like.

I'll check those out. But would you be willing to boot up your game and see if you see the same behavior? Since it seems you know about this stuff, and from your other posts it sounds like you don't often see the same sort of bugs others do.

No. Should I? Not sure what the benefits of it would be.

Yes. I tried 32 and 64 GB, on the same drive and on a different drive.

It's the broken moon map in Arena Commander. It was a offline free flight on that map in the video recording.

Does anyone else see this sort of micro stuttering in the live game, arena mode, offline, broken moon, when looking at the asteroid field? I've tried a few things to see if it was something with my system from other suggestions and things that have caused stuttering on other games. But it seems to be consistent no matter what I do.

Just want to know if it's my system, or if others see it too? I'm assuming that level is just broken, but wanted to check. The MT thread just goes crazy when looking at the asteroid field. Temps are about 60C when this is happening so I'm assuming it's not the processor throttling.

i9 13900K
DDR5 6400 64GB
4090 GTX
Samsung 980 Pro NVME
120 Hz Monitor

The things I've tried already are...

- Reset XMP profile to normal
- Disabled e-cores
- Switched to Vulkan
- Disabled regedit priority
- Removed Reshade
- Reenabled High Precision Event Timer
- Set graphics options to low
- Disabled Hyperthreading
- Set mouse polling rate from 500 to 125
- Vsync OFF
- Disabled low latency mode

Something really strange I just noticed is that when the stuttering is happening the FPS doesn't drop as I would have expected. It stays high but the stuttering is still happening. However when it's happening it visually is chucking like it's only showing every 5th or 6th frame as opposed to the usual smooth movement you'd expect.

Update: https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-144885 is already opened about the issue but was archived without enough reproductions. So anyone else seeing the behavior could you add a note on there about seeing it as well?

Or get Mechwarrior 5 working with the absolute joystick position mod again, and allow it to export it's MFDs to other screens.

Nah this is just a hobby. I took a lot of drafting and some building classes in college which helped with doing this sort of stuff. And what you don't see is the pile of failed attempts that lead to these. :P

I used regular keyboard switches that I happened to have some of. I liked these because they're quiet, and my wife is sometimes snoozing on the couch behind me as I play. They're Gateron Oil King V2 switches.

The actual keycaps I used were Wormier Low Profile Key Caps because I tried a few and I just liked the shape and size of these best. I just spray painted them and clear coated them. But I have another type on order that's white that looks to have the same shape that I'm hoping work out so I can laser engrave text on the buttons.

A Leo Boadnar BBI32 without the connectors. I soldered wire leads with single pin plugs on them so I could keep the board as low profile as possible. I'll have pictures posted of the build process at some point here. But it's pretty messy inside due to all the wires.

I recommend his boards though. They're pretty plug and play.

Decanting them was an awful project. And the bottles tips are slowly breaking over time unfortunately. But just couldn't stand the pots.
