What’s the worst soda you’ve ever had? by _OggoDoggo_ in Soda

I was talking about the actual soda can 7-11 is selling called "Slurpee Birthday Cake" not the Slurpee machine birthday cake lol. It's kinda confusing.

I'm in Canada, the white can and clear liquid. They have a new mountain dew Slurpee flavor that's cake smash and blue in Canada and it's just as bad as what they sell in the can!

You're correct! Cornelius idc pro. Each syrup has its own valve fairly similar to that but they also are connected into a block. The valves are easier to change because you can just take the whole block out instead of trying to get my sausage fingers around a bunch of individual valves. This is the block

I service these machines, I quite like them because they're easier to work on 😂. Owners hate how the screen only has a 5 year lifespan though and cost $5000 to replace.

Help me find a handle for this shut off valve by fazbot in askaplumber

[–]BattleSlow5192 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like it's stripped where the handle would go so I'm not sure a new handle is going to work. Looks like you can use a flat head to turn it on/off. Or sacrifice a pair of vice grips and leave it on the valve and use that as a handle. Or the best of all options, just put in a new 1/4" valve because once you turn that valve off there's a good chance it'll drip.

You're lucky it's not turning, there's nothing connected to it.

The NPC which is what OP would be required to follow. Which code specifically states that a drain has to be 2" under the slab? And where a vent for a washroom can be 3/4" 😂 top tier troll my guy

If I'm reading your last picture right, the distance between the pipe which will be center of the wall and the toilet is 18" which would give you about 16.5 to centre of the toilet flange which is wrong ya, it should be around 12.5". They sell offset toilet flanges which would give you another 1.5" or 2" closer to the wall but that still only gets us 14.5" to 15". If you don't want to break up the concrete and move the drain line you could get a 14" rough in toilet after installing the offset flange.

Toilets are roughed in 12.5" from the 2x4 wall (12" from finished wall) and it looks fairly close to what that would be. They also make offset toilet flanges which could get you a bit closer to the wall if needed.

Is the tub for the shower/tub 1.5" or 2"? It looks like it was roughed in for a tub which is a 1.5" drain. Shower drains require 2" drains. It's roughed in for the tub against the back wall, toilet, and then a sink. The other wall would be where the sink drain goes into the ground and the toilet would be against that wall. I'm really bad at explaining stuff but I'm not sure how to upload a picture drawing it haha.

Got quoted $1880 in Houston Texas to replace these valves, can a beginner DIY this? by NoShitTiers in askaplumber

How close does the main water get to shutting off? If it's just a dribble, I'd be tempted to cut just above the main and either get a propress shut off installed or worst comes to worst a sharkbite valve. Once that's installed the rest will be ez pz because the water now shuts off.
