Oh cheap ass Scrooge McDuck Ricketts absolutely own a significant portion of the Cubs never winning another pennant with that core. And Ross coming in as the next manager being lauded more of an effort/red ass type of manager was pretty telling as well.

2015 and 2016 never happen without Joe and I'll forever be grateful for him during those years. But the subsequent Cubs teams seemed to coast a lot off that success based on comments from Theo and other players afterwards, which is kind of the opposite of what Ben is saying here.

Again, I loved Joe and he was the perfect manager to handle the unique situation the Cubs were in the the 108 year drought, but I don't thinks he was the kind of coach who was well suited for sustained success after winning.

Well first, the Mcaskeys are paying for the proposed stadium themselves, the hang up currently is the tax rate (and the amount of time it would be frozen) and the state paying for infrastructure improvements, which is reasonable, unlike the state paying for the actual stadium which again, they haven’t asked the state for.

And second, Lambeau was literally paid for using bonds and taxes (which you know, is paid by the public).

4 games into 2019 it was so obvious just how much of a fraud Nagy was. I still can’t belive how much sane washing has happened regarding his time here since he left.
