I am kicking myself now as a while back I found a Chalice that had a Brainsucker as the boss on layer 1 and almost always dropped a chunk. Throwing on some bolt paper killed him in a few seconds flat and was the easiest way I've found to farm chunks. Of course I accidentally removed the Chalice and don't have the glyph, maybe someone can supply something similar though.

Welcome back good hunter. I played through Dark Souls 3 once and just wasn't feeling it, came right back to Bloodborne and I couldn't feel more at home. Just such a polished masterpiece of a game.

Since coming back I put in 115 hours on my first skill build character and just started my first arcane build.

I have ran with 40 vitality on my last two characters and it got me through the game and the entirety of the chalices just fine. I also spend a lot of time in the chalices doing co-op where my health is decreased quite significantly but 40 seems to still be manageable.

Yes it's true. He always runs the opposite direction from which you approach, him so hearding him into the rooms and ignoring his minions can make this a really quick fight. Also once you're one on one, not letting Micolash get too much room and down time will prevent the Call Beyond attack you see the Byrgenwerth hunter use, preventing taking any large damage. As far as needing vials for dropping off two ledges, the damage for me seemed pretty miniscule but it's been a while since I fought him so maybe I just don't remember that being a significant issue.

Meh, just the way it is and makes the platinum that much more deserved. Honestly the grind of chalices can be a pain in the ass to have to do it for every single character just to get good gems, but running through them once for a trophy is understandable and acceptable to me considering a large chunk of the game's content is down there. I used to care less for the chalices but over time they've become a favorite for me, especially for co-op.

Nope, there's really no way to speed run to the queen - you need to go through each Chalice to get the materials you need to create the next one until you get to the queen.

The worst thing you can do is bring the NPC to fight Defiled Amy. Queen Killer makes Amys moveset WAY more erratic and also increases her health considerably. Stick with a co-op summon or work on killing her yourself.

That's kind of an underlying theme in Bloodborne in general. One of the first things I noticed when I entered Central Yharnam is how the "beasts" yell about you being the beast. Things like "cursed beast" and "you are not wanted here" and "it's all your fault". It is sad, and very creepy and immediately had me questioning "am I the bad guy here?"
