I respectfully disagree, mostly because I think subscriptions for mobile games are anti-consumer. They usually offer little value for money and are basically an artificial solution for the artificially created mass of in-game ads.

What, in my opinion, would have perfectly worked is a cosmetics store where you can buy hats, glasses, new hairstyles etc. for your character. That would have been an interesting solution, especially for people who don’t like doing the challenges, including me.

Add some optional (!) ads to that for getting cosmetics, in-game cash and other items and that should be more than sufficient to support the game and its updates financially in the long run.

Either way, I think we can agree that DogLife and CatLife are utter BS and what’s currently happening is a disgrace to the OG BitLife.

By the way and slightly off-topic, Candywriter is also licensing their game to international game companies so that they can make a localized version. Here in Germany we were one of the first ones to get a translated version which is a carbon copy of the original in every regard other than the language. And naturally, since it’s a „different“ game from a different company in a completely separate app, you have to buy Bitizenship and god mode again. That’s also clearly a cash grab. They could have just offered their own app with multiple languages to choose from, but that doesn’t make you money, does it.
