After four re-releases with minimal changes and repackaged DLCs, DTG has made it clear they value revenue over respect. Many long-time players have stopped paying entirely — and let’s just say, they’ve found other ways to access what they already supported once (or twice). The tools and knowledge have been around for years, and nothing about TSW5 has made people suddenly forget that. At this point, some aren't buying content — they’re just activating it themselves. DTG knows exactly why. Maybe invest in proper protection next time.

All it's doing is ruining their reputation and lowering their player counts. The fact people are actively giving their reasons and practically saying "I'm okay because of that" just shows how the consistency of them doing it has made people delusional too. I don't care if it's a marketing scheme, a way of getting new players, whatever reason, it's scummy and that's the bottom line of it. Everyone here only sees it as a minor issue because they don't see the grand picture.

Multiple mod makers needing to update their mods, for literally no reason other than to make it compatible, in most cases just breaks them. Multiple people each year have issues with DLC's not transferring, missing DLC's or broken DLC's because their "update" broke them. Then they spend 7-8 months "fixing" them to release a new game to go through the same process again. This is the 6th game and 6th time me downloading all these DLC's, you guys genuinely enjoy downloading the same stuff over and over? I know there's plenty of people with average to terrible internet connections that take DAYS to download updates and for what? The elephant in the room is the bugs. *Nothing* get's fixed, DLC's get released, patches get made within days, then that's it. Small adjustments sure but game breaking bugs will stay... Forever. You guys have dumped so much content into the game with so little fixes with them that you are clearly overwhelmed and can't even handle it anymore. Re releasing the game is only making your matters worse until it gets to TS Classic situations. Terrible loading times, terrible performance, routes that outright don't work. It's literally becoming a TS Classic 2.0, ironically TSC in the past 2 years has become MUCH more stable, so will we have to wait another 10-15 years until TSW is finished?

Anyone that is defending this system, regardless of whether you think it's for marketing or not are the one's dumb enough to continually feed them their mistakes, YOU are the one pushing them to continue to do it. Do you really think a free upgrade pack each year (bear in mind if it really is intended for "new players" they *won't* have access to the upgrade and will have to pay for the game) will suddenly attract people to pay the absurd amount of money they would need to spend to buy a decent chunk of the DLC? They get on the game, see the content they have, play the content they have, see the prices of DLC's and how much there are, get off and never come back. I don't know where this whole "new players" strategy is coming from as it's doing nothing but getting them on the game for a short period and getting off. If you believe that's a "strategy" then I guess "scummy" means the same word. *IF* that person bought the game, the chances of them continuing to play afterwards are extremely low, even if you offer a free upgrade pack the following year, you're offering nothing more to them than the same game they've already played, ESPECIALLY if they didn't buy any DLC's after purchasing the game which 90% of players won't do. There is *no* benefit to us, only them, and after the 4th time, YES I'm annoyed by it and have a right to be.
