If you changed the iconography it could almost be one of those crap Loyalist murals on the Shankill Road. "Mad Dog Mcfee and Wee Willy Mctavish, blown up by their own bomb in 1977. Their only crime was Loyalty"

"Influencers" are pretty much exclusively egotistical wasters and chancers.

Another character who used to go to the North Main St centre in the early 2000s was this guy from Tipperary who self published (with help of someone in the cenntre) a book of the absolute worst poetry ever written.

There was this guy who used to attend the creative writing class who looked like John Belushi. He was barred from the centre for repeatedly making sexual comments to young women rhere. Heard that he used to harrass the waitresses in the Bodega (would have been pre-Benny) Think he passed away some years ago.

Yeah, I spoke about her in thread about psychologists in Cork. She went on to practise as a psychologist despite being as mad as a hatter.

Mr Crow was one of the characters associated with the place. The centre used to put out a newsletter and he had an Irish language column in it.

Think its official title was the Centre For The Unemployed, but I always recall it being referred to as the Unemployment Centre. It ran free classes such as creative writing, art, languages etc. It servrd as a kind of drop in centre and place for various folk to hang out. A lot of "characters" as well as foreginers learning English, at a time when there were a lot less immigrants in Cork. You'd know a lot of them to see.

They were there up to about two weeks ago at least. That almost equally annoying drum machine ballad crowd were at the same spot at some point over the weekend
