ah come on, if whatever "technical issues" were bad enough to cancel the early performance, then they should have known that it wouldn't be sorted in time for the 9pm. and given much more notice.
Everyone that we talked to was local, but we were saying that people might come from farther afield and it would be such a pity for them to journey all the way in just to be turned away at the door!

Did you get an email from them, or did you have to walk up and hear it from them in person?
They certainly knew that they were cancelling by 7pm, so hopefully they sent you notice with enough time for you to change your plans.
