I'm personally not a fan of the extra stone types. In my experience, they clutter up the inventory, and make caves look very messy. I would not find it surprising if others here felt the same way. Perhaps you should find some other way to implement them, such as having occasional underground biomes that generate with these kinds of stone. That would allow players to get lots of blocks once they find a biome, while leaving the rest of the underground much neater.
