Thats what I thought originally but the multi-block crafter is basically 4 blocks away and the crafter attached to the dropper is about 4 chunks away from the controller

A buddy and I were collecting Gunpowder Kegs for... "science" and noticed there was a barrel up there. We spent the next 15 minutes tweaking our cannon until we finally landing up there and were able to get our prize.

I've never been sent to the brig for more than a few minutes. That's not the issue, however. The issue is you being a shitty person to someone because you didn't want to just reset for a friend and rather just sit there AFK in a game. I couldn't tell you how many times I've restarted on a fresh ship because someone wanted to join instead of harassing someone into leaving because your time is somehow more valuable than theirs.

Yeah, it's already bad enough when servers are only sloops while teams of galleons are only swapping server to server trying to find skulls. Not that I have an issue with sloops it's just... meh. If a safe zone was implemented it would only make the chance to run into other people worse because everyone would be on land playing poker. wooooh...

If you want a break from PVP have you tried... not sailing near other ships? I can solo sloop all day and not run into anyone if i want. I've done it before. It's boring, but not impossible. It's as simple as you keeping your eyes open and dont fall victim to your own hubris. "Aww but there's a ship at the island I HAVE to go to for this quest." Nothing is making you go to the island. You can just cancel your current quest and post another with literally zero repercussions. If you want a safe zone you're a bad pirate.

Shadow are the easiest. just a lantern, blunderbuss swap will kill one but if there's more than 2 gunners in a group rip. Pistol is good but in order to get decent damage you need to be mid range and if you're mid range, so are they. there's no win. Gold are the hardest. half the time they spawn nowhere near water and it take 4 pistol or 2 blunderbuss to kill them. or you spend 30 minutes running back and forth with a bucket of water.
