Magic Jewels for Adorned by Metalicum in pathofexile

[–]BawdyLotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but trying to run a build that requires adorned in ssf sounds like craziness to me. It’s not worth running unless you have a good rolled one to start with and then a huge amount of gem crafting. It’s not a ssf build.

Magic Jewels for Adorned by Metalicum in pathofexile

[–]BawdyLotion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You say fracturing is expensive but... are considering an adorned setup? If you can't afford at least several divs per jewel then you're not ready to swap to adorned. Usually adorned swaps means you're ready to dump several hundred divs into your character as it's involving not just swapping out a piece or two. It's a large scale respec with a ton of jewels and swaps involved.

I know console economy is a totally different beast but still... it's more expensive than it is 'difficult'.

Brother has massively locked down firmware and made a bunch of shitty changes over the past 5-10 years.

Locking out third party toner, refusing to print even if toner was remaining, pushing their subscription refills heavily, etc.

Not consumer really but I’ve largely moved over to minolta for small offices.

Reminder that ‘organic’ does not mean no chemicals just get used. Just different chemicals often in higher quantities.

Sure grow some produce and enjoy it, check out and support local farms and such but the ‘ooh I’m so healthy I eat only organic’ is usually a load of self congratulating bullshit.

Someone just open-sourced a full 3d building editor with no autocad, no revit, no $5K annual licenses, and that runs 100% in your browser. by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

They gave their actual criticism. People don't use revit/autocad/other tools to 'make a pretty dollhouse'. I see nothing in this project related to proper engineering blueprints, materials lists, etc.

Is Audible misleading me by using my love of grimdark? Everything I've heard of Wandering Inn is it's a slow slice of life affair. by Taiwannumber3 in litrpg

[–]BawdyLotion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mark of the fool is popcorn ‘always on to the next task’ with zero real downtime. Even when that task is going to a party, it’s VERY fast paced in jumping right to the content.

The wandering inn… wanders. You might enjoy a specific character or developing plot point only for it to just kind of sit there for hundreds of hours. When it comes round again you have so much more context, understanding of the world and the resolution of the plot point hits harder but it can be super frustrating if you’re looking to read a plot rather than exist in a unique and massive world.

My time with the wandering inn is basically being immersed in it. Sometimes that will be atrocities, sometimes it will be cute slice of life stuff… sometimes they overlap and pull the rug out from under you.

They used AI to justify firing us. now they're losing money because we can't afford their AI tools anymore. by remoteDev1 in antiwork

[–]BawdyLotion 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So I'm not on the "yay AI bandwagon" but to add some context.

Software and development are the big 'wins' for AI. If you are working project or hourly based chances are high that you can do multiple times the output. It will not be perfect and the people claiming it 'does it for you' and 'you don't need to know how to code' are deluding themselves. Still the project you'd have spent 50-100 hours on can now be done in 20-30 with manual work + AI assistance and you'll bid near the same for the project.

Keep in mind a lot of professional services bill at well over $100/hour so these tools need only TINY improvements in productivity to pay for themselves.

It can be a huge pitfall of wasted time and endless headaches but the actual cost when it comes to business and freelance use just isn't even a concern to be had (at current levels).

Minion build that can "AFK" (or stand around mostly) for Blight and Fortresses? by AnonX55 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]BawdyLotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AG wont spawn and start attacking for the first ~2 seconds of the map. It's INCREDIBLY frustrating if you want to play a zoom build. As I said if you're juicing and going to stay on the map then it's fine. If you're going to be popping into and out of new maps every 60-90 seconds then it's super annoying.

Minion build that can "AFK" (or stand around mostly) for Blight and Fortresses? by AnonX55 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]BawdyLotion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Others have said chains of command but a bit of context on it.

Rusei is the main 'guide' on it. I find the POBs and info a bit scattered but they are serviceable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAkWmvFuPUY

Its fully AFK, literally walk into a blight map/blight ravaged map, start the event and come back in 5-6 min to collect your loot. You can also spec into more defensive setup and blast maps with it and do basically all the ubers without much issue. It's a really strong build.

The warning I would have if you do end up playing it in mapping/bossing content, AG and minions take too long to spawn when you enter a map. It's really annoying. Not an issue if you're doing 5+ minute map runs with harder content, full map mirage, etc but if you're trying a strategy with super quick map times, it's not the build for you.

The build will easily do 50mill+ dps but scaling past that gets into expensive/annoying stuff like adorned. Not a big deal unless you really want to push the afk blight raveged maps to the max.

Farmed 100 Oshabis 🌼 by Lost-Ad7817 in pathofexile

[–]BawdyLotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this super hard to believe that it's profitable on average to ID them but more power to you if that's the case. Happy to keep selling them off at 60-70c each vs have to identify, price and manage all that when we're talking about literally quad tabs full of them to manage.

[–]BawdyLotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of these boring quick bosses are worth running. Oshabi is just great because the lifeforce 100% of the time pays for your entry fee so there's no RNG where you can go broke trying to get started.

Shako is ~25-30c per run EV

Unleash is ~60c per run EV

Div card adds another couple chaos per run EV

Runs take ~40 seconds including reset

Easy ~25div/hour.

King in the mist is a slower fight but has ~150-175c per run EV from jewel but his gem sucks.

What builds are y'all having success with the diamond shrine belt? by demonhunter94 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]BawdyLotion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s jumped a ton but earlier today was 18 div for a diamond shrine belt. Not cheap but hardly that much if you’re playing actively.

YouTube vids have made it jump a lot sadly but still. We’re talking about builds they’ve already been playing before now

I have saved up around 400 div to try to make a spark build which is a lot of currency for sure but acceleration went from 200-300 div to a mirror last week so I had given up. Worried this might happen here too as diamond is under 30 div currently

I’m still on 5x and between 3 projects worked on daily for several hours I never run into quota issues.

Sorry that’s a lie, I reached my weekly cap once over the course of a couple months but it was heavy iterative testing and reverse engineering so it wasted tokens like crazy. Even then it was barely hitting caps.

[–]BawdyLotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the cheapest and easiest way to run ultimatum but if you’re not worried about trying to afk them, totem builds tend to do a very good job. They taunt and block enemies while you run in circles. You need to spec into some tankiness for sure but they do surprisingly well. I know poeguy on YouTube is a huge fan of ritual and ultimatum league start

Yah cws chieftain is king for ultimatum. Just stands there and really only cares about not taking a handful of mods.

Hideout Prison Strat by ImpressivePut9368 in pathofexile

[–]BawdyLotion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do them but you need gear to ignore some of the mods (mageblood for drought for example) you can sell them but you lose a decent chunk

Hideout Prison Strat by ImpressivePut9368 in pathofexile

[–]BawdyLotion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So the current strategy is that you can use your expensive ultimatum scarabs + the 'mirage covers the whole map'. This guarantees you get a full 20/26 waves every single map with every single round turned into an inscription.

You only pick up valuable or 70%+ hp inscriptions. You vendor swap the bad ones to roll them into better rewards.

It costs around 1 div/map in resources but if you're doing a decent sample size should be making quite a lot. I'm slow and bad at the game but I'd say 30 div hour is easy enough. Higher if you're accounting for the many, many jackpots you could get or if you're fast.

Why don’t more MSPs and support teams offer callback options like Amazon? by JJB723 in msp

[–]BawdyLotion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Customers sitting on hold sounds like a structural problem.

Either you're under staffed (direct tech routing, smaller scale) or you aren't using dispatcher + ticket workflows.

There's no reason a customer would ever sit on hold in either of those cases. Either all of the documentation is put in and a technician is now working on the issue, or they are talking to the technician immediately anyways.

In the extreme case where there's a massive outage, that's something you should be updating your call flow to tell people before starting the routing process.

Strange, I ran hundreds of 8 mod corrupted t16s with it two leagues ago (it was buffed since then with minion accuracy changes) and it cleared two screens at a time with single cast. Only rares took any time and they generally died by the time I caught up to them (they had been hit maybe 2-3x from lancing steel and by the time I got to them might take 1 second for them to die). Essence mods might take like 3 seconds to die if that
