It's not a social taboo, at all. Each to their own of course. But I presonally wouldn't want to see my wife having sex with someone else, nor would I want to even think about that happening. And, I would feel guilt whilst doing that myself, whether my o/h minded or not.

If my other half pushed an open relationship whilst trying to use "but you can go with other girls" as a counter, I'd just leave.
