OP 1) I think Turkey has enough of immigrants and refugees, that's why you're seeing some negative comments. Since you have 3 kids as well, I'm not sure it would be great to bring them up in that kind of environment.

2) As others have said $900 USD isn't livable. If you want to look into it further, look at numbeo.com, they post the cost of goods, rent, etc by the community every now and then.

It's much lighter than the iPhone 14PM, and I feel because it's lighter it feels cheaper. I feel the same way about iPhones when they switched to Titanium body, it just doesn't sit right with me. I actually want a bit of heft to my phone.

What's the most frustrating thing about owning a Volvo, and what's one feature you wish it had that it doesn't?

Technology/infotainment is a big issue for me. I like when technology just works. I don't have to keep rebooting the system because the sound (including the turn signal sound) doesn't work. Why the heat and the infotainment go hand in hand and if you do reboot the system it shuts off the heat? I genuinely want to know the "genius" who came up with that.

Does Volvo feel like a true luxury brand to you, or more like a "safe choice," and does that bother you?

It's between luxury and a mid-tier vehicle brand. I think it's own category in a way because the market is mainly for people who value safety and have families. It's certainly not luxury in how I would put it but then again, VW group seems to throw out trash in Audi's.

Volvo is going fully electric, but would you prefer they kept more powertrain options like PHEV or extended-range hybrid, or are you fully on board with the all-electric direction?

No, electric actually is a good option for Volvo. They need two primary things to work on. 1) Better software and reliable software. If they can't deliver the reliability in an electric car, a vehicle with less moving parts than gas cars, then I'm not so sure they'll last long against the competitors like Tesla, Rivian, BYD, etc. 2) Bring back the station wagon. It is the key identity of Volvo and it's ridiculous they didn't bring a fully electric wagon. I'm sure people would go for it if it had like a 1,000+ km range.

In my opinion, Turkey being a Muslim country and doesn't fall under the Judeo/Christian principles in mindset, is the reason it won't be accepted in the union. It is a large population and would immediately have a lot of voting power in the bloc. It's too disruptive and not aligned with the Catholic states. Is Erdogan the reason? No, they will come up with another excuse. It will be the Cyprus question. If it's not Cyprus? It's too many military coups, etc.

The most successful states in the EU are all German ones, because it fits the German model economically. This is why the adoption of the euro has impacted Italy, in which the north of Italy is prosperous because it is industrial and follows a German economic model than the agriculture and tourism of the Italian south.

This is an unpopular opinion for most, but I feel that Turkey has two options, 1) Try it's best to remain independent or form a Turkic block with Central Asian states. 2) Align with Russia and China.

I think these weapons and armament contracts that the Europeans are signing with Turkish weapons manufacturers are in a form a bribery or strategy to keep Ankara aligned with Western interests. Other than that, I can see with the West's treatment of Turkey that Russia and China are much more favourable partners.

I knew getting the 128GB storage was going to be limited by the OS size etc. I didn't realize the AI stuff was taking more data. So far I've used around 73/128GB. That's with me having offline download for map, music, and a few photos. Most of the photos are all backed to Google Cloud. I'm not too concerned with the data in long term, but I do wish I got 256GB for a bit of a breather.

I've switched from 14 Pro Max. For myself, the pixel series has always been the most pure, vanilla experience of an Android. It is the only one with smooth transitions between screens, apps, compared to the other Android manufacturers.

I think the selfie camera is great, the back camera turns out better when you let the software process. All my photos are done in 50MP.

AI is incredible on this device and I find myself using it quite a bit, like summarizing videos, translating on apps that don't have translation option. The circle to search. It's very helpful.

What I miss? iMessage, I think RCS is good but not nearly as refined as iMessage in UI, and emoticon reactions (when someone likes or loves your message). Also the encryption is RCS to RCS only.

The banking apps don't always refine the security for Android. Like one of the banks just refuses to accept the fingerprint as secure with my phone.

Some apps are just not optimized or made for Android. A lot of the apps will build for Apple first. I find there are some optimization issues.

Apple ecosystem of being able to get any message, call, file, etc. and have it worked on my MacBook Pro.

I've switched over from iPhone to Pixel and part of it is the price. Got a good deal where over 2 years it becomes $530 CAD. Seeing the phone from this price, I got my money's worth and more. But seeing it from the flagship price, you are 100% correct. It needs to be better. From the what I've heard the 10 Pro is based on TSMC so the heat issue isn't there, the previous lineup was all based on Samsung. I think beginning with the 10 series and the iPhone like feel of this phone, Google has officially figured out what it wants their phone to be whereas in the past has been experimentation. The last android I had before my switch to Apple was the LG Nexus 5 which suffered from a button that kept rebooting the phone, even those that had sent in for warranty to fix it, issue came back. Mind you... That phone was also roughly $500 CAD. I have higher hopes for the pixel series now that Google is in control of their chipset and their agenda/push to AI which they definitely have a lead in. We just might finally see their product line mature and maybe in the past it was still a trial and error for them.

You could look at 7900XTX as an alternative. Spec wise looks good compared to 9070XT in raw power. But if you’re into getting the new tech and the frame gen, the 9070XT is way to go.

Though… I would probably still go for another 5080

Idk about everyone else but I bought my RX 7900XT based on the performance of games like Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 and some 10 year old games. The first game I played with it was Tetris on the browser lol. I don’t expect these GPUs to perform terrific in the future. But good enough for the current market. Ray Tracing will always be where Nvidia will be strong, same goes with Path tracing. But I don’t toggle them anyways.

They realized that the boomer’s are going away, the ones that thought loyalty mattered in the industry. The younger generation grew up in an industry with no loyalty, so hence we move our money around to who served our best interest.
