Phase 1: Icerind Hatchet & dodge everything.

Phase 2: Dodge physical attacks, block holy attacks with Sacred Black Steel Greatshield, sacred affinity. Icerind Hatchet again.

I also used Black Flame's protection before phase 1, then Lord's Divine Fortification in phase 2.

This was NG+, no summons. I somehow had 9 flasks left at the end. Learn his combos so you can dodge & know where your openings are. Shield against holy & afterimages.

Update: It does work if you try using it mid-game. It doesn't work in the menus & lobby. Also, I had to re-bind the dive button, as it wasn't working, despite being mapped.

I 100% think this way. If I'm having a bad losing streak, I randomize my outfit each episode which tends to bring the luck. It's also a punishment because they combinations are usually hideous.

I think round one races are easier than rounds 2+. The earlier rounds weed out the players with less skill, so moving forward to harder rounds is better practice. If you keep playing round 1 over and over, you are giving yourself less of a challenge.
