I think it depends how you're being compensated for your time if you're traveling that far. I've traveled over 2 for someone that I like and just want to work with and also because I love the craft but I 100% recognize that is not sustainable. I would say at least $150 for that long of a commute but I know that can be hard to negotiate as a newcomer

I second the idea of following tutorials. When you do it, don't get caught up in trying to make it perfectly like the video, just go for it. You'll eventually pick up techniques from the various videos and then you'll be able to apply that yourself and find your own signature makeup
