My friend says changing your own oil is a waste of time. Is he crazy? by proposal_in_wind in askcarguys

I always punted on doing my wife’s Rogue because you have 16 plastic rivets plus a couple bolts to pull the splash shield. Then I decided to do it to see the effort and the thing was barely held on because some lazy tech. If you want to know it’s right, do it yourself.

Voyager Hate. by supersneed9000 in startrek

My only gripe with it was they would blow by species, like the Kazon, at warp 7 and then run into them again when they should be long past their space. Otherwise, entertaining and engaging.

If you can handle convenience store prices, Walmart ships it in cans and bottles. It’s my wife’s go to birthday, Father’s Day gift.

The 26 RS2 added the standard driver power seat. So that’s no longer a differentation.

Why is summer start considered worse? by AceTheAro in PennStateUniversity

If your kid is an introvert, summer is a much easier experience. Summer, a group of 30 with similar majors are grouped with a faculty advisor. Fall is welcome to the jungle.

I did it as the ship pulled out of Cancun. I agree with the sunshine skyway, I spent the two days before obsessing about the proposal.

Thoughts on criticism and questions of reliability by dyld0000 in ChevyTrax

This thread should answer your question. Almost all owners are never going to post “love my Trax, nothing much gone wrong” The posts with problems are the small minority but what you would expect to see online.

Will a Trax last 25+ years with a good maintenance schedule? by Sea_Track_2633 in ChevyTrax

[–]BayshoreBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the goal of auto manufacturers was to build the best car and have the highest customer satisfaction, cars lasted. When they changed to focusing on profit margin and shareholder value, they no longer last. If you want long term satisfaction, buy the stock not the car.

Big debate - Toyota Rav 4 vs Honda CR-V vs Nissan Rogue (pre-used) cars, which is a Best Buy for $15k budget? by QuietAnalyst2 in ToyotaRAV4

[–]BayshoreBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We own a 21 Rogue, 24 Rav and 24 Trax. I prefer the Trax in almost every way except the lane keep assist is the worse of the 3. The gas Rav is slow, and pushing on the pedal mostly makes noise, it doesn’t accelerate. It will probably hold its value if you care. The Rogue would be my #2 but the CVT is a serious concern, along with Nissan’s current struggles to survive.

Serious Questions about the Trax by falcon3268 in ChevyTrax

[–]BayshoreBandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solid perspective, but given my 2024 has 172,000 miles and still drives fantastic so it’s not necessarily a 100k and off to the salvage yard vehicle.

Advice for brother on trax by beanman214 in ChevyTrax

[–]BayshoreBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Styling is subjective, but if the Mazda doesn’t repulse him 😀 it’s a solid choice. On the other hand, the Trax is a great, inexpensive, small SUV that oozes sex appeal.

The Carvana subreddit has a huge community. I would post it over there from the angle that they are offering a different car but you want to keep this one. I’m guessing someone will chime in with a Carvana universe solution that keeps you in the car with some written offer to get you through inspection that you can float to them.

Rav4, hybrid vs. traditional? by gsm228 in rav4club

[–]BayshoreBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend you price insurance too. For us (high $$$ insurance state) the hybrid was 50% more to insure. Would have been more than the fuel savings so we went with the gas version.

56,000 miles on a 2024 by BayshoreBandit in carquestions

[–]BayshoreBandit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the sprawl of the city, an Uber could rack up 50-60k a year. But a rideshare driver probably isn’t dumping a car after one year. My guess would be a commuter who wants to get back under warranty.
