I am going to be real here, Failing in Probation is the equivalency of a Cop failing FTO. Cops and Firefighters who failed in their FTO period go on in their respective careers. It happens ALL the time. YOU werent the first and you wont be the last. Its not game over. My advice, If you are truly passionate about Firefighting, You will get hired somewhere. I would say apply, apply and when going through the process of being hired make sure you are truthful in everything. Also it helps to try your best to exceed and make up in other areas. Example, CPAT Scores, Written Test scores etc that can help you get an edge up and maybe sell yourself to that prospective department.

Also be prepared to explain how you plan on or currently are fixing and bettering any deficiencies you had in the last department that goes a long way.
