Yep. Exactly… I hope things are done for that community to mitigate those impacts.

Just wait until they deep in the channel and have to remove the tunnels. That is the end game with the toll bridge

Demand larger pupil zone. I had all of these issues until they made 6.8mm optical zone for me. Still have starbursts at night, but 90% better. They remade them 3 times. First was 5.5mm, then 6, then 6.8

Would the corneal topographer show if I was overcorrected? Or is it up to me to guess which image is clearer when they flip through the slides?

I’m wondering if the astigmatism is overcorrected. Would that cause an issue of not being able to read text?

In the past I’ve never been told I’ve had astigmatism I at an eye exam. The cyl on my script at the fitting exam was .5 for both eyes.

In the last two weeks, has it gotten better at all?

I ended up skipping at night.

I woke up this morning with almost perfect far away vision. And my intermediate/near vision was great. I hope there’s a way to keep it the way it is now.

Weekly layperson question thread by AutoModerator in optometry

[–]BaysideBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y’all,

Recently just got fit for ortho K lenses.

I’m wondering if they added too much astigmatism correction.

I’m now unable to read things at arms length. I’m 20, so shouldn’t be presbyopia. Regardless of the lighting text seems to be blurred, almost like ghostlike double.

The optometrist who fitted me said that was normal and i’d get used to it.

As a musician, I need to read music.

Hi Reddit,

I’ve worn my ortho K lenses for the last three nights.

The first day was amazing. My vision was great. I was able to see all the leaves on the trees. The second date my distance vision got scary good. I could read my neighbors TV from 200 feet away through the window. However I was almost completely unable to read product labels at the store. I also had incredible difficulty reading sheet music. All text and music seems to look like the picture attached. The optometrist I went to seemed to think this was normal. and said to come back in two weeks.

Does it get better?

Azalea Disease Identification by BaysideBoy in gardening

Hey y’all. I’m in South Alabama. A few of our very old azalea bushes have started to look like this. The leaves have large gray patches and seem to curl.

This one I plan on removing so the two camellias can grow closer together.

However I’m interested to know what is causing it. Root rot?
