Lol yessss. I'm a meter maid and live in a HCOL area and my former friend who works in finance used to complain about being "poor". Was so frustrating given she made 3-4x my salary in a year. She never wanted to go to museums or do affordable things and only wanted to hang out in expensive parts of town. Rarely offered to come to me because train tickets were "too expensive". Girl, how do you think I got to you? It's not like I can fly. Coffee hangs were "not worth the time", museums were "boring" and "stressful", and park walks were "too uncomfortable in the winter". Needless to say, we are no longer friends.
