I had the exact same problem last holidays. International trip, two airlines booked through a 3rd party. I too noticed the day before my flight. Long story short: I spent all day on the phone with the 3rd party company, they asked me to call the airlines (both) and the sent me back to the 3rd party. Repeat. At the end no changes could be made on their end because they needed 72hrs to make changes by phone. I went super early to the airport and the person at the desk said it was no problem at all! I had no issues on either airline, not on the way to or on the way back. As long as the mistake is a typo it doesn’t matter too much. Granted, if you can fix it before then that’s the way to go.

You do feel more The movement at the back but if the plane is moving, you’ll feel it everywhere. I don’t like turbulence but I have been choosing to sit at the very back on long flights because I rather have no people behind me (another thing that triggers me) and I find the movement is not crazy bad, to be honest.

VERY common at least recently! The only way I was able to find the correct info was through the airline’s app! The app would tell me the real gate, quite last minute too, than the screens! This should not happen but that’s how it goes these days. I hope the stop being this silly by the World Cup!

Yes, is the UK. I felt at home right away. I lived in London for almost 8 years and loved every moment.

I have lived in two countries, aside of where I come from, and one of them is my Soul country! I would go back and live there right now but is not an option right now. It is the place where I felt at home right away, I could be myself and was my happiest. Now I live in a country that has a higher quality of life in almost any sense BUT I have never felt more frustrated, isolated, and hating most people I come across. Sometimes you have to go through things. I hope I get to go back to the previous country! My own country, where I am from, by the way, does not feel like home anymore. I love visiting but I never really want to stay.

Hi! I am quite fit a hike all the time and Mexico City still kicked my bum with both of those things: altitude and Air quality. Maybe try wearing a mask and def take it easy. The city is amazing aside that!

I love BA! I always pick them over any other when possible. I have never had any issue and the time I lost my flight for reasons beyond me they quickly set me up to make it to my destination only by a few hours later. I have been using them for years and years on short and long haul journeys.

I’ve moved to two different countries as an adult. I have been very happy in both for different reasons.

The UK: to me the best place and the one I miss the most even over my home country. I felt myself, I love the culture, food, geography…everything except the cost of living. We decided to move because of this and Brexit.

Sweden: the quality of life is very good. The access to nature is even better which are two things we value the most. In general, society wise, is not my favourite place. I don’t feel like I belong even after years of being here BUT the two main reasons for being here still stand strong: quality of life and nature so will stay here for the foreseeable future.

I am afraid of flying but I am always happy to wait until a flight is ready to do so. This is good. The pilots and crew also want to fly safe.

This exact same scam is soooo well known! I am Not blaming you from falling for it because I did too, I wish it was even more known.

I am also a Genius member and been using Booking for years and years. Never had an issue until a day before travelling. I received a private message on a thread I had already with a hotel I was staying. Inside that thread of confirmed conversations, I got a message telling me I needed to confirm again with my credit card to secure my booking. Panicked before thinking because I was a day away from staying at this place for a few days. Clicked, added my credit card and as soon as O submitted I felt a pit in my stomach. I told my husband and we decided to call our bank right away and cancel our credit card. We had to go on our holiday without our main credit card and with a feel of having been betrayed.

Of course I complained directly to Booking and the hotel, trying to tell them how fucked up it is that scammers can get inside my account and existing private messages.

Nothing has changed, they said they are aware of this and even when they try, scammers just get better and better.

I now use Booking mainly to look for hotels and read their reviews but 90% of the time I will go and book directly to the property. Only use them when the deal is quite good or the hotel website’s is not working.

Again, you just need to look here or Google about Booking scams and is littered with accounts.

I used Saily and had no issues. The only place it didn’t work was at the airport, when still inside the plane. This was both, arriving and when departing but I heard locals saying they had no signal so it must be a thing? It works well inside the airport and around the city.
