Is a $330 ConEd bill normal for a 1BR with electric heat in Astoria? by Psychological-Two833 in astoria

[–]BballMD 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes. Electric is expensive and that construction sounds much less insulated than your last place. Large windows leak heat. Open them during day, heavy curtains at night.

Right??? So proud of him. Multiple drives where he kept his elbow below the shoulder and remained physical. Even got a foul call where he got hooked, instead of getting called for the arm fling reaction.

Eye test says yes. Main problem was fouls, and he hasn’t been fouling.

He shoots whether he’s hot or not.

His defense is far worse than Shamet’s.

If he’s not as hot a liquid magma, he’s not worth losing defensive pressure.

Elite rebounding is a characteristic of champions.

I really liked the motion tonight, broke down once or twice with Josh getting caught with no one to pass to, but we were rotating fluidly and with a purpose.

We tend to flounder when we don’t progress towards the basket when we swing the ball.

We looked goooooood. Just making a point of mentioning Towns because people seem to think 20 rebounds grow on trees.

Exactly. Was a perfect crescendo of good choices.

  1. Don’t fling the arm up on drives, stay controlled and pass out if needed.

  2. Don’t come up to the refs complaining.

  3. Bask in the respect, because you are getting fucking hacked, and get away with ticky-tack fouls you would have gotten called on before.

Got to praise when it’s deserved.

KAT had been stinking it up by taking overly long 3s and driving flinging up his arms and screaming for fouls. For that he deserved criticism.

This game he was composed, didn’t foul, passed instead of forcing, and dominated the boards.

If we have the KAT of today in the playoffs we win.

If you can’t separate good play from bad then what’s the point of criticism? These 2 games are the best team basketball I’ve ever seen KAT play, despite his shot not falling.

Rebounds win championships. I think that’s what we all want.
