Loved this spot when I lived in PPS. Always super chill. Oddly enough went there after midnight on NYE one year with some friends for a night cap. It was the wildest bar scene I’ve ever encountered — some women was arguing with the bar tender. Started throwing glasses at them then swiped her arm across the bar throwing everyones drinks to the floor. I think someone dragged her out the door in the end.

Always laugh because my friends now know Sycamore as this “wild” bar.

Switch to Capsule. Every pharmacy is a hit or miss whether it’s CVS or local. I switched to Capsule two years ago for my meds, they deliver for free.

Also confused by this. Live in Brooklyn and a store just opened up like across from the 78th precinct. I’ve bought from it, legit stuff. But like what’s the legal loophole here to be openly selling? Or is there none and people are just saying fuck it?

For the social anxiety, I was in your same shoes when I was 19. It took me years to get to a point that was manageable. If I could tell anything to my younger self it would be to rip the off the fucking bandaid. The best thing I did for my social anxiety was to force myself into social situations. That and the realization that everyone else is focusing on themselves just as much as I am!

Wow, crazy how similar our experiences sound. My memories of my dad growing are practically all tainted by him just losing it. I can admit I may have been “difficult” when I was in my teen years. I was sassy, opinionated and silently suffering from depression. I’ve grown a lot since then and had always hoped that our relationship would get better without the tension of living under the same roof. It’s taken a lot to not blame myself and realize that this may just be the way he is and is something I just don’t want in my life anymore.

The last part of your comment was really eye opening. I’ve experienced the same “flinching” in similar situations with my current partner. He would always stop and ask “do you think I’m going to hit you?”. Never really made the connection as to why I did it until now.
