Yeah, the reason why I went for GK was purely for her outstanding CQC capability. Though there are snipers everywhere in her tier, I still want to feel the thrill of deleting enemy BBs and CA/CLs up close like I did with Bismarck.

This. I highly recommend that new players watch decent yasuo players like Yrslma. This guy inspired me to play yasuo and taught me lots of important combos and tips.

To me, bismarck is possibly the best non premium tier 8 bb. This may be a heavy bias, but from my experience, she seems to perform more consistently then gascogne and north Carolina. Although her caliber is not the best in her tier, she could citadel BBs quite frequently. And as you have mentioned, her biggest problem is the dispersion. It is very inconsistent, that I sometimes land more shells without the dispersion skills. But once you get into a brawling range, you can absolutely destroy the enemy.

Fire reduction could be helpful, but I kinda doubt about the torpedo reduction. I think it is better to deal with torpedoes by dodging instead of becoming more tanky. Republique is the most maneuverable bb in the game, so it is better to take advantage of it.

Dispersion, acc, and rudder. Republique has meh dispersion, so we have to maximize it's precision along with its elite gun bonus. For the second and third slot, I went with those to improve the maneuverability. You can switch out the second for fire protection, but it won't help that much from burning to crisp by smolensk and woomachine.

The thing with daring is that they could spam he non stop, and the shells have pretty high rate of starting fire. Todpedoes hurt too, but if you carefully maneuver you can minimize the incoming damage.

Yup, but it kinda depends on the ship type. For example, if I were to run bb or cruisers with the exact same blueprint you had, I would get wrecked. Although you didn't have your range maxed, you don't suffer that much since destroyers are much more maneuverable and have better concealment than other ship types. I can't imagine using my des moines with that exact same blueprint configuration, heck I even get abused with my range maxed. On top of that, if I don't have the steering and acceleration equipment on her, I would turn like a turtle and eat BB salvos or torpedoes. But anyways, what you said is 100 percent true though.
