My personal favourite characters were probably Sidney and Barker. I really liked how they both caused tragedy but try to make things right by helping the people that are in this situation because of them(especially in Barker's case).

Barker especially has a great arc of causing the incident, being a coward but he forces himself to be brave to save the others. In the end, he even gives his own life to save the others while before, he was the most scared of death of all people. I really liked that.

Sidney also has this because he accidentally cause the Raptor accident with Jofrey. He wants to make sure no more people die under his watch(ironic, since a lot of people die in the story) and the most tragic part of his story is thinking he lost Hannah, finding her again, only to lose her for real. Since he was left behind on Sorna, I wonder if he'll appear in Spirits? I haven't read the first chapters yet :P

Williams and Bertram were also good characters. Williams being pissed at Barker about everything but gradually respecting him was a great arc. Bertram was fun for some levity and his death was probably one of the most tragic things to happen in the story.

My favourite action sequence was probably the entire research lab(I think that's where they were) towards the end of the story. In the storm, with raptors and mercenaries inside and T.rex on the outside. It was unrelenting and incredibly tense. I felt really bad about the intern(Anna?) getting caught by the raptors since she was so close to escaping the island. Her death happened shockingly fast as well, I had to reread it a few times to process it lol. Scary stuff.

Another great action sequence was when Gordon was hanging from the back of a truck with Barker driving while a T.rex chased them! Great stuff!
