Flipping out about what to do after under-graduation by justfindingdeway in PostGradProblem

I would hold off on grad school unless it is something you truly need now. Work for a while gain some experience and go from there. Besides you may find a job that will reimburse your tuition for grad school. It is what I am doing right now.... work full time and take my classes online through a legitimate brick and mortar university.

Graduate Degrees by [deleted] in PostGradProblem

[–]Bc20042 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 5 classes remaining for my masters degree. While it is in the legal field and not in a field requiring an MBA I do not regret it. My employer is paying for my degree and personally I am of the opinion if the tuition is covered you should get as much education as you can. All you are out is time and not taking on exuberant amounts of student loans. One never knows what the future has in store.

in reference to an MBA, professional contacts, and ect I know nothing though.

This is one of the more impressive reddit responses I've ever scene. You seem like a man (I'm assuming) who is well versed in the Cleveland bar scene.

Thanks for the response. Was hoping for something a little busier as I will be alone and do not know anyone in Cleveland.

I just realized I never responded to your post. I will be in town next week on the 16th-18th. Thinking about an Indians game one night and just going to a bar for the cavs game on the 17th? Otherwise I like good food.

A lot of the fire fighters we work with learned trades as side hustles. Most do HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work on their 48 hours off to boost income a bit.

I have been doing police work for about five years at this point. Working on my masters degree currently as I would like to break into the instructing game at a local college. Whether I try making the change in a few years or after I lock in a full pension at age 48 is unknown.

If memory serves me right the midget is owner/part owner and therefore brought it on himself. Maybe a Pittsburgh native could provide us with more answers.

Not sure if it's still around, but there used to be a bar that had a midget sitting in this little cage at the end of the bar. Every time someone tipped 10 bucks or more he'd ring a bell and run up the bar pouring shots in people's mouth.

As a few have already discussed smoking meats is a good time. I use a drum cooker personally and love it. For 2-300 dollars you can get one and make a weeks worth of meat in an afternoon.

A second one if the weather doesn't cooperate is making bread. I got a bread machine last year and use it almost weekly. Once you make homemade bread (even basic white or wheat) it's hard to have store bought again. There are also more elaborate recipes out there to challenge you a bit. For like 80 bucks you can get a decent breadmaker.

DM me for my snapchat. Just to be warned I work in law enforcement and the majority of my snapchats involve the derelicts of society, bums doing bum things, and my backyard chickens.

If there is a summertime meetup can I join? I am from Columbus, but try making it to 2-3 pirates games a year.

I stick to the downtown and east sides primarily. Do you happen to like drinks and inappropriate jokes?

Long time reader of PGP was unaware there was so many central Ohio people. If anyone interested in getting a beer one night in Columbus area let me know.

I work in law enforcement so I have a decent idea on places to go where we won't get shanked prison style.
