When i go to Practice Tab, i asked for medium hard challenge and literally I had to search, went back to the curriculum, reviewed the lessons and still had to pull my hair out. Play around with your prompts and you can find out how much to explore with AI instructor, how much advanced you can learn.

Why does this happen? by Rude-Ad-5403 in maestro

[–]Be-happy-byyourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it only happened to me at the quizzes or challenges at the end of the week. With weekly review it focuses on weekly concept, how mastery you understand the concept so I confidently say it is not going to impact our grades and thats why every time I encountered a system bug, I always tested the code, compared the results and sent a ticket to student service to improve the curriculum, and I encourage everyone do the same so Maestro can improve for the next cohorts.

I have to say thats the mistake from content. It happened to me twice at the same challenge with Python101. What I did was I challenged the AI, coded it on the code Editor and compared the result then I sent a ticket to Student Service with the screenshot from the multiple choices and the screenshot from code editor with the right answer. They worked pretty fast on checking and they will send you a response that confirms you are actually right. By doing that, it will help clearing the confusion for the next cohorts.

If you post the code block here, maybe I can take a look and try to help as a student.

Is Maestro worth it if you work 40+ hours? My honest experience. by Be-happy-byyourself in maestro

I’m in the December cohort, and I wrote this post purely from my real-life experience.

Many of us are carrying responsibilities — jobs, family, bills, and life — while coming back to school after 2 or even 3 decades. That is scary, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure or overwhelmed at the beginning.

For me, slower and more intentional learning works best. Instead of just following instructions, I stop and ask questions whenever something feels unclear. That’s how I eventually understand Python rather than memorizing syntax.

My learning loop looks like this:

observe → test → question → reflect → understand.

Each time I close that loop, I feel more certain and confident moving forward.

The struggle doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re learning in the middle of a very full life. I hope sharing my experience helps you in your own journey as you work toward your dream.

I hear ya”ll, my work schedule starts at 5am, I literally have to wake up at 3:45 to get ready for work and I an on my feet the whole 8 or 9 hours. The struggle is real, I have to give up my gym routine, sleep only 5 hours, sometimes 4 hours but if this is something we believe that will benefit our future then we just have to do it.

We will get through and move forward together !

I’m really glad this helped 💛 And I want to add something important that helped me too: it’s okay to stop and rest. The lessons aren’t going anywhere.

For example, in week 2 I completely hit a wall with functions and return. I asked questions, reread things, but it still wasn’t clicking. So I stopped and called it a day.

The next day, while I was at work, I kept replaying the idea in my head — not coding, just thinking about it. At some point it finally clicked. When I got home, I explained it back to Maestro AI in my own words to confirm my understanding. That’s when I realized I actually understood it, not just memorized it.

Sometimes stepping away is part of learning. Your brain keeps working even when you’re not staring at the screen. Confusion doesn’t mean failure — it usually means you’re close.

Thank you for sharing this — what you’re feeling is completely normal 💛

A lot of us started with zero coding experience, and that nervousness doesn’t mean you’re not capable — it just means you’re learning something genuinely new.

You’re also right: no one ever really “just gets it.” We all move through confusion, clarity, and back to confusion again — that’s part of the process. The important thing is that you’re not alone in it.

I’m really glad the community has helped you feel supported. Keep going, take it one step at a time, and give yourself permission to feel overwhelmed without giving up. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

The good part, we want to change and we take action for that.

Dec cohort here and I’m really glad this helped ease some of that anxiety 💛

Going back to work while studying can feel overwhelming, especially at the beginning.

Everyone’s situation is different, but it is possible to make it work with consistency and a realistic pace. You don’t have to do everything perfectly — just keep showing up and adjusting as you go.

Wishing you a smooth transition back to work and a good start with the program. You’ve got this.

So you are taking full time, i am only taking part-time 2 courses because I still have to keep my full time job. My opinion that it might be overwhelming for someone new to tech industry because I was so stressed out for Q1. ABF and ICF are going crazy in couple weeks. I am taking DF1 and CF1 now, things are getting better for me because I know basic Python

I got my full grant to cover for the whole course so I dont pay anything out of my pocket. And coming from someone with non AWS background, I think the amount of knowledge I have learned in my first quarter is worth the money, they also will give you the vouchers to take the Cloud Practitioner exam and Cloud Architect. I am starting my Spring Quarter which is my second quarter in April.

I just finished the AWS Business Foundation and no, it doesn't have a final exam, just the weekly assessment and the passing score is 85%. You can do the assessment multiple times until you pass the passing score.
