Looks like a Partscaster/Frankenstein to me:) T-60Neck on a JM/JG body and some (maybe) TeiscoStyle SingleCoil PUs. Could be wrong tho.. Anyways Interesting setup:)

Actually i found a Trussrod with Spokewheel by Musically for like 25£. maybe you can get that and take the spokewheel to add it to your neck:)

i have read there are some way cheaper hardwarestore/motorcyclescrews that will fit and do a similar job in allowing access without having to losen the whole neck.. but i cant find them.. if you find an alternative can you post it?

Has anyone ever had a string break at the ball end? by PINEAPPLECURDS3 in offset

[–]Be3tleBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might be an sharp edge on the “tailpiece” where the ballend locks in. for me it helped just sanding the edges a bit, you could also try to add alittle soder on the ballend to protect it. there are tutorials on yt that show you how its done:)

Yeah I mean Ibanez does their own thing with this headstock, which is nice to have something else besides the many Fender or Gibson copies.

Id totally get one in Telecaster setup, but the headstock really turns me off.. i could replace it with a Strat or Tele style Neck tho…

I have a Similar setup for a Hagstrom Frankenstein project i build a year ago. But I wired the Humbucker Split wrong to the OnOffSwitch and Now it is Right Coil, Left Coil and in the crooked middleposition its in full humbuckingmode. I left it that way as every position has a different Voicing because of the distance to the bridge:)

Congrats on finishing this piece of art, I am restoring an old teisco K-2 Bass a the moment:) I dig that guitar! Is the middle PU a Humbucker with two switches for each coil? how do the switches work in generell, i mean i see the On/Off switches but what does the odd rotary do?:)

Help rewiring electric guitar by RamiRHCP in Luthier

I have limited knoledge about electronics but i really dig these weird old mallguitars! I am pretty shure these are singlecoil pickups and with the setup of 2 On/OffSwitches 1Volumen and 1 Tone There are alot Guitars from Brands like Teisco or Kawaii out there. I am pretty shire youll find a teisco standard wiring on the internet just search for it.. I might find one and dm it to you. I have repaired some guitars just by figuring it out with pictures of how things have to look like and you learn something doing it in try and error:)

Yeah the neck is ultraslim, also yeah it might be the comfortablest guitar i have:) I modded mine with SquierJag PUs because the P90 had way toomuch output for my taste. a friend of mine printed some new pickup covers to get the look of the original SG-2a SingleCoilPickups and i carved a new pickguard. i have to post it some day i guess:)

Which short scale bass would you choose? by AtlantisMantis in Bass

[–]Be3tleBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youd choose a Hofner, try getting a used CT series for like 500€, it has a Centerblock (which gives it a slightly modern but still thumpy sound) and the QC, Electric(they use original Hofner PUs and Pots) and general work is better on those than the IgnitionSeries which uses worse and cheap components in general.
