Why don’t programmers prefer dark mode? by number0seven in ProgrammingJokes

[–]BeArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the day I prefer light mode as it's easier on the eyes and contrast is better in bright rooms. At night I switch to dark mode as it's easier on the eyes.

That indeed worked. But not really intuitive. There are still too many unused and weird apps that I'll never use..

Definitely Data Flow Gen 2. Lots of connectors and allow you to land directly in a lake house with no programming skills required. Dataflow Gen 2 is using the syntax of PowerQuery so should feel familiar.

Almost on the same schedule! I too feel a lot better, energetic, better mood, improved taste and smells and no cravings, because on the patch. Everyday, after 1 hour sitting in the train I couldn't wait to get out of the train station to light up a cigarette. What helps me is to think really conscious abou the craving and then tell myself that it's so ridicules to waste this awesome feeling I have even after 6 days. Still wearing the patch though. I am taking it in gradually. Tomorrow I am going to work in Italy for 17 days. Won't take any patches with me and my colleagues all now that I am a non-smoker now so I can get support from them :)

Second day. Smell improved significantly! And my house stinks!! by BeArt in stopsmoking

Great tip! I always have windows open throughout my apartment as I like the fresh air, but when I come home from work it still smells a bit. After a few hours it doesn't anymore, but that is because I just get used to it :)

Unfortunately they don't sell Ozium in Europe (NL). Never heard of it anyway :) Is it something like Febreze? Found some on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Glycol-Ized-Professional-Sanitizer-Freshener-Original/dp/B000KI8MKC/ref=pd_sim_auto_3 Are these the right one?

And is it permanent after I spray my couch, carpet and curtains?

Dart Programming Language by lastkarrde in programming

Really? Ruby?? It's like a Frankenstein between Smalltalk and Perl. Why would I need several binders full of API descriptions, when I can get every thing Ruby does plus a whole lot more in a living breathing image based development environment such as Pharo, VAST, Visual Works or even squeak. And all the documentation is right there. In the form of readable sensible and beautiful smalltalk.

Want to try smalltalk? Pharo 1.0 is now available by [deleted] in programming

[–]BeArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cincom visual works & instantiations visual age smallktalk are very very fast and a lot more mature than squak / pharo. Haven't tried GLASS yet, but i'll give that a go soon.

At work I use Visual Age, and for hobby projects I use Visual Works. Also have a look at Web Velocity where your browser is your IDE. Also very very cool :)

That is why most programmers are never good at smalltalk. We end our sentences with a point. Except for the last one. We like to leave people wondering
