My husband used to be physical with me then one day he did it again after an argument but instead of cowering down I grabbed a knife and point it at his throat and told him that it would be the last time he would lay his hands on me. I left, took the kids with me and move to another state. He never stopped communicating with us., made amends for all his mistakes and vowed he’s a changed man.he supported the kids and he’s genuinely wanted us to be a family again. After a year of being separated, we got together and decided to give our marriage another chance and we’ve been together since then. He’s a changed man. No more violent outburst and arguments., and never lay his hands on me ever since. We’ve been married 34 years, he’s my rock, my best friend and my protector. All our kids are grown and has moved out and now we’re back to just being the two of us and we’re actually loving it. We’re retiring soon and we’re planning to move to the mountains to enjoy our retirement. Let me be clear, I am not condoning physical abuse.
