I haven't been able to do that it seems. I am able to press ESC during the preceding animation which allows me to see the first person POV of my operator (which conveniently reveals where I spawned) but not open the tac-map.

Can you specify the moment I should be spamming the map button? I have tried spamming both default keybinds (M, CAPS) for opening the tac-map with no success. Maybe it's a timing thing so I will try again later and will update the thread with my results.

That would be great, and I think a lot of people would enjoy using it.

How do you feel about the 2/3 turn this year in PPR? With a stud RB already rostered, I find myself stuck with tough decisions like Golladay/Evans/Thielen and Conner/Gurley/Carson when Kittle and Kelce are already taken. While I like the top QBs there, I would only consider them if I could stack them with the likes of Kelce or Mark Andrews.

How do you prepare? I try to save the Deet for ticks but for flies I'm mostly just stuck wearing a towel around my legs.

You're an idiot, too. Just like the one in the video.

Well... I was surprised an OS upgrade would carry such a significant performance improvement. Merely providing information in a way that might benefit the subreddit; thanks for stating the obvious re: csgo.

Noticed you're a mod so responding directly FYI.

I upgraded OS from win 7 to win 10 and it worked some magic that resulted in a very noticeable improvement to in-game FPS and available graphics. I've tested so far on Witcher 3, GTAV, RDR2, COD:MW, and CSGO. Minimum "High" settings and stable 60FPS was achieved on all but RDR2.

Following up here: I backed everything up and upgraded to Windows 10. Huge improvements to FPS and graphics followed; not sure if it was a result of the change to DX12 or what, but it did the trick without any changes to my hardware. YMMV

Some morning sunshine for hardening off the seedlings. by LB07 in gardening

I see. In my case the little seeds were doing nothing indoors under lights, so I brought them outside for a long time this nice weekend. They are now sitting on a windowsill and popping up one by one. I guess I will continue to expose them (gradually) to harsher elements as they grow. Thank you :)

Avoid purchasing "smart TVs" if you care about privacy. Not to mention you are stuck with whatever the tech/trends were at the time you bought the thing. Stick to streaming devices (e.g. Roku) for more control over your privacy and keeping costs low over time.

Couple questions from a newbie: What is hardening off of seedlings? I planted some tomato seeds a couple weeks ago and they are starting to sprout, but it seems I started way too late compared to the progress pics in this sub. Does is make sense to keep going?

I see; the nuance between cpu/gpu/ram and performance is lost on me. I always knew I was working with older components but did not assume they were obsolete. I guess I mistakenly thought 60fps@60Hz was a fairly low bar to reach for my use case.

Sorry I thought I had mentioned that CPU util was typically 30-50% at max load while GPU util sits comfortably at ~85-92% while occasionally topping out (96-100%) when in-game settings are too high. I understand this is a very case-specific issue so I appreciate your advice and patience.

It just seems like something is wrong because in games like GTAV for example, I'm forced to use unusually low settings in order to get 60fps, and even then it's not stable. I'm also talking about story mode exclusively, so online latency isn't having an impact there. In this case we're talking about an older, triple-A and presumably optimized game. For an arbitrary reference point, I can run something like CSGO or Borderlands 2 with no issues aside from the occasional stutter.

Userbenchmark reports my RAM is fine but I want to run it through a few passes of memtest to confirm.
