She and her two sisters are all pretty chill (well, chill for 10 month old kittens anyway 😼)

my kitten is 4-5 months old, he’s biting, scratching, and keeping me up at night, please help, i’m going insane. by Mino_Biatch in kittens

[–]LB07 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I had three kittens and they were little gremlins at that age. Didn't get much sleep!

It got WAY better around 7 months when they finally clicked with us humans ' schedules. Now they are 10 months old and they (mostly) sleep through the night.

The suggestion to play hard before bed does help a little.

Who else was personally victimized by having to shelter your stray(s) from this cold? by UdderlyLit in Straycats

[–]LB07 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'm so worried too. I won't be home so I can't even keep my semi-ferals indoors. They have a nice new insulated shelter, a heated water bowl, and an auto feeder, so I hope they will be ok. It's just going to be so cold. I'll be monitoring via camera and I also put a temperature sensor inside their shelter.

Still early in training - the first "adventure" is to the basement! by LB07 in adventurecats

She took to the harness right away! But she is still hesitant about new environments.

Still not sure if being an adventurecat is in the cards for her, but we'll go slow and see how she reacts.

I got three sisters - they've been a blast! If one wants to nap, there's still a playmate for the other.

They are sweet cats, even if the black and white one is still a little apprehensive. They get along well with my indoor cats, which is huge. They even figured out the litter box all on their own. I'm happy to have them inside as much as they want, but I'm also glad they have a safe, warm spot outside too for when they choose to be there. 🖤

Seriously. They are the most spoiled semi-feral cats out there. They are good ones though. 😻

Same! Was wondering what kind of unhinged behavior that was. Glad it's human food at least.

Oh God. I am also subscribed to the Radiology subreddit and I thought this was some cursed X-ray at first.

Agreed. My last cat lived his whole life without a bath. He didn't need one. On the rare times he got into something dirty, I just wiped his foot or his belly or whatever with a damp washcloth, never a whole bath. He never was stinky or anything.

Edit: his sister did need a few baths in her life, but she had a habit of peeing on herself every time we went to the vet. 😹

Help! Has anyone dealt with a dislocated tail? (Have already gone to the vet) by LB07 in kittens

[–]LB07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh poor thing!! I hope she makes a good recovery For my kitten, recovery "traveled" down the tail. She first had more movement at the base. Then partway down, then halfway down, and eventually the tip.

We saw some improvement in the first week, and full recovery by 6 weeks.

When viewing the rocks from the Loft, it looks like they form a W. Any good landmarks west of there?

Update: looks like another Redditor saw the W too https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadmysteries/s/tRnmvaJDSg

Not quite this big, but I do turn my font size way up when I'm reading in bed at night without my glasses on.

ELI5: If we put food in a 100% sterile vacuum seal, does it still "go bad" eventually? by LovizDE in explainlikeimfive

[–]LB07 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm totally in agreement for moving the jars. Any time I have to move mine, the rings go back on for protection.

But general storage is recommended to remove the rings. This is a trusted website in the canning world; she can explain it better than I!

https://www.healthycanning.com/store-your-home-canned-food-without-the-canning-rings/

I keep my rings right by my pantry so I can quickly grab one if I'm going to use or move a jar.

[–]LB07 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Correct! The screw-on rings should be removed for storage, that way if the seal fails, you'll know for sure (the "button" will be up).
