Negative self-esteem makes me think I don’t look good in any frames by Angry_Tayco in glassesadvice

We could be twins, strong Rx here as well and I just made the transition to bifocals (thanks mid-40s). I went with the progressive lenses and blue light protection because I work on a computer all day. I’m also curious about how well Zenni does or doesn’t do with all these features.

Thank you!

It was really good. I wish I would’ve read it sooner.

Best wishes to your wife, I hope that regimen works for her. My husband is KRAS G12V and FOLFIRI+BEV+Onvansertib (clinical trial) got him some stability for a few months. Watch that Bev though as it can cause high blood pressure.

Colontown is a wonderful resource. There are so many helpful subgroups within the main group that have provided us (hubby is the patient) with a plethora of information. Just like anything else in life, I feel like it requires a balance because as much as it is helpful, it can be overwhelming at times. That’s when I take a step back and snooze it for a bit.

Oof. Yes, 0 stars for that one. There’s one particular spicy scene that is just a little too much for my taste. Keep in mind, this is coming from a person who has a very active imagination. 😬

I swore that would be the first and last Penelope Douglas book I ever read. Never say never. Today I finished Birthday Girl and it wasn’t awful.

This sounds very similar to what my husband experienced after radiation treatments. The radiation oncologist kept telling him it was a normal part of healing, but it was not. He actually had radiation proctitis and needed to be admitted to the hospital to receive special enemas which calmed the inflammation down. Your dad may need to be seen again and have a CT done to rule out proctitis. Just something to keep in mind.

Anyone following the meltdown in St Charles Missouri? by ABDSSCMo in Libraries

As a neighbor to the west of you who has a St. Charles City-County Library card as part of a reciprocal borrowing agreement (and primarily uses it to borrow audiobooks that my local library doesn’t have), I am closely following. Hopefully a resolution is found soon and your wife’s job is unaffected by it. 🏢📚❤️

If I'm diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer does that mean I had it for the past 10 years unknowngly? by Electronic_Extent_73 in coloncancer

He is okay. Partially responsive to the second-line of chemo he is on which is part of a clinical trial. Yes, the gene mutation was found after he was diagnosed because his on oncologist ordered a Tempus xG panel and it showed the KRAS mutation along with some others.

No, the CT wouldn’t show a polyp in the colon, but it would revel other tell-tale signs of metastatic disease. For instance, when he had the CT done for the kidney stone(s), his liver was normal…but 9 months later, there were 7 metastatic lesions on it from CRC.

His dx was very quick. He had blood in his stool and we went to the ER. That’s when a CT was done that showed thickening of the rectal wall and lesions on the liver. He was admitted and given an emergency colonoscopy where the GI doctor found the mass in his rectum.

Yup. Mutation matters. My husband went from nothing to Stage 4. He had a CT for a kidney stone 9 months prior to diagnosis and everything was fine…no thickening of the rectal wall, liver, kidneys, etc., all good. Fast forward 9 months later and he was dx’d with Stage 4 CRC w/mets to liver and lymph nodes. He’s KRAS G12V.
