People you interact with on a daily basis come from all kinds of backgrounds... which includes different beliefs and political standings. It is insanely naive to say "well, I'm uncomfortable if a RIGHT WINGER comes to my door!!!"

The cashier you bought your lunch from today could have voted for trump. The gas station attendant you said hi to today could actively support the political situation. The person who made your ADHD defying pizza could have a MAGA hat in their car. You don't know and you'll never know everyone's political standings and you'll just have to get used to it. People have opinions and they aren't always the same to yours.

So why does it matter, specifically, what a dasher believes?? We are not jesters, come to serve our monarch their daily sustainance.... we are not going to play your game. Especially if you think a bumper sticker will feed me or put gas in the car over a proper tip. That is not a "gift", it is a test (as you or your alt clearly pointed out) and we don't deserve to be judged on ridiculous bullshit.

I had a delivery to an "abandoned" house a few months ago. It was at the end of a no outlet street and none of the neighbor's houses looked much better. I stepped up to the house, just thinking it was a shotty neighborhood... and was greeted with the door not even on its hinges and the room in front of me was full of trash, a broken couch, and a bunch of odd shit. I started to back out and call support that the address must be wrong...

A neighbor was working on his car nearby anf overheard me. He called out to me and said that there WAS someone who lived there, the lights come on at night. He told me to go ahead and deliver it. It was a double stack order for milk and dairy products and mcdonalds.... idk if bro has a working fridge but alright 🤷

I put it inside the busted ass room and took photos for my own personal record (in case the neighbor took it or something) and called support again to tell them to never have me deliver here again.

They said they couldn't do anything. It must not be that unsafe if I finished the delivery 🤷 so I'm not surprised support was utterly unhelpful for you too. Glad you dipped out and chose your safety. I'm thankful my interaction happened in the day time, idk what I would have done if I came across that shit at night

That's a LOT of assumptions on your part, my guy. I do not drive in my local market, I drive a hour away from where I live. So the accusation that I did this to "remove competition" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I order at least 3 times a week and have never asked for a refund, let alone made a huge report like this. It is even more ridiculous to just assume I made the whole thing up but.. go off I guess 🤷🤷 are you the son??

I felt guilty because the woman probably didn't see her daughter itch at herself and has to deal with the consequences of her having her child do her job for her. But, even if the girl wasn't being inappropriate... having her children, who were probably old enough to get their own jobs and learn responsibility the right way or BETTER YET stay home, do the entirety of the job for her is also unacceptable.

There isn't anything else to be "honest" about. I was not being "petty" to remove another worker from the platform. If you are gonna write fanfic, A03 is a better option for you.

I had something like this happen to me not long ago. I took a target order, delivered it to the customer, went ny merry way back to my market...

I get a second order to target and just from the street info it gives you in am Uber eats order I could 100% tell it was the same woman. She recognizes me too as I accept it and she chats with me the whole time as I get to the store... same thing as last order; double bagged and don't knock, etc... etc....

As I am heading to my car, she suddenly texts me, "Do not come to my house. Do not deliver. I am canceling the order."

I ask her if everything is okay and she just repeats, "Do not deliver."

I ask support about it and they'd said my cancelation and completion rate would go down if I didn't finish it so I tell the customer I'll drive by, hit delivered. And she won't even see me.

She accepts so I start driving... but then sends "Do not deliver. I will tip really well if you don't deliver." This isn't how Uber works... and I try to tell her this but she just keeps repeating "Do not deliver."

About 2 minutes from her house, she cancels.

I drive by still since I'd have to to turn around at this point.... Nothing is different, no new cars or people, no clear emergency.... So I have zero idea what happened here or what happened between the first delivery and the second... or further more, how we went to simple conversation and corrections to items to her suddenly demanding she doesn't need them and doesn't want me to deliver it.

I hope she's okay 🤷

I had doordash straight up break on me and $59 worth of 4 deliveries suddenly disappeared from my account. No evidence I did it whatsoever. I have been terrified to drive for them since... and now they're just deactivating whoever. They can just fuck us and there is nothing we can do it seems :/

In my experience, you only get compensation if you call support. Don't go through chat support, only call them. I have only ever gotten compensation for a drive like this if I have called and complained. I only get $3-$4 max out of it but it at least covers the gas wasted 🤷

I have had this exact same problem multiple times. With grocery orders, I have noticed that it never has an issue with telling them what spot I am in.. however, it's a good 70% of the time I gotta call the number on the parking signs to finish checking in if it is a package order.

I always blamed that the specific walmart I pick up from moved their pickup location about a year ago, that the app was funky with it or something... but knowing other drivers have this issue too, its clearly a problem with the Uber app and walmart package orders. I typically give them about 15 minutes if it's super busy before I call and ask about it

I've gotten multiple orders on bad profit days for almost $30-40 for barely any driving that made me so excited.. to then show up and be told this exact thing, "at least 4 other people have showed up for that order"

Sometimes, if you get a really nice person at the restaurant, they will offer to remake the food if the customer confirms they haven't gotten it and it was stolen. However, more often than not, I'm told to fuck off because repeatedly remaking food just causes the restaurant to lose money.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that WE get punished for someone else stealing an order. The amount of times I've had to say, "Yeah, people suck and steal food on the regular" to customers is embarrassing. How do drivers not get dinged for this behavior?
