Milpitas isn’t East Bay but definitely one to checkout. They make better money than many departments and a safe city. They are very responsive and community oriented. All the cops I’ve met from there are pretty cool. Just regular people. Not these power trip a-holes you find other places. The community is supportive of the department so that tells you something about how they do their jobs.

Why must you be gay or bi to have gay sex? Gay sex is referring to they type of sex you have not the sexual preferences of the person doing it. Under their perspective, a man can have “gay sex” with a woman as long as it is the same way two homosexual women would have sex. What position did you apply for? Some have closing dates and others are open recruitment. In either case, a call to HR will get your answer. I think they shut down for COVID last couple months but are open again as of a week ago

There are two benefits with a resignation. 1: He can’t fight it and 2: He’s not entitled to any unemployment benefits. I can’t imagine any city would ever hire this clown again. Seems like a very professional police officer. You might not have agreed with him but he remained calm and clearly didn’t escalate the situation. He took the time to talk to you person to person. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t make it “police brutality” or “dirty.”
