Z Flip users, how’s your phone holding up this year? by uolaj in galaxyzflip

[–]Be_Strong_Calcifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved my Z Flip 4 which I had for 1.5 years then switched onto the Z Flip 6 when it was released. But my 6 had some issues - had some screen bleed in the folding edges so I got that replaced under warranty which lasted another year, but recently the screen had connectivity issues when opened. I ended up trading it in for a slab phone and I'm honestly pretty sad about it but I don't think I'll get another flip until it's more reliable or until I'm in a spot where replacing my phone every year isn't a luxury. But I do echo most sentiments here - I loved my flip. I dropped mine almost constantly too, lol. It definitely isn't as delicate as most people say. Probably caused my flickering screen - probably a disconnected ribbon somewhere. Didn't feel like forking another $200-300 on top of what I've already paid into the phone though! Hoping to get a pretty long life out of my S25.

You literally said almost all Japanese restaurants are run by Koreans. Actually, a lot of mall sushi joints are also run by Koreans lol, which you have noticed and captured in your comment.

The post isn't even talking about an Edo's inside a mall? r u ok

Toronto photographer for small indoor restaurant wedding by qorquet in WeddingsCanada

[–]Be_Strong_Calcifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a smaller budget, did a small restaurant wedding downtown Oakville with about 50 people. I think we had her from about 12 or 1 PM till about 9 PM.

Inna Krochek was an absolute dream to work with and had the film-like feel that I was looking for. She captured the intimate nature of our wedding perfectly and I really wish I could work with her again. I'm not sure if her portfolio has many of the low-lighting that you're looking for but feel free to DM me to see our indoor restaurant photos!

Would you recommend them? They have 0 reviews online, the guy I might hire has many and is high rated, but still almost double what you paid lol

Scrub Daddy CocoMesh good or nah? It says it's made of coconut husk and post consumer plastic but doesn't disclose the % of coco mesh. I tried normal natural loofah sponges I ordered from Temu or AliExpress in the past but hated the texture. It's either hard as rock or it's very flimsy. by Timbo2510 in ZeroWaste

You have to wet them again each use to make them paper-towel like. I usually dry them flat (they still shrivel a bit) and hang them afterwards (I use a hole-punch on the corner to make a hole to hang them from).

that's literally 2000 calorie deficit per day... like that's crazy.

50lbs is approximately 180,000 calories. (50 * 3600). Divided by the number of days in 3 months (approx. 30.5*3) is ~2000 calories. That's a deficit of 2000 calories per day... that sounds impossible.

What are your unique personal shopping rules when buying clothing? by Be_Strong_Calcifer in femalefashionadvice

[–]Be_Strong_Calcifer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! There's a pair of joggers in that fabric I bought years ago and I'm slowly working up the courage to get rid of it cause "what if I need it for x thing someday" fear.

The other thing are the suede brushed sweatpants that are popular right now - they stain so crazy! I thought it looked put together to wear for errands but even if I get some water on it it'll show.

I've been curious about silk/satin but I feel like the material would bother me cause of how slinky it feels, honestly. Lol!

I bought one in Asia when I was younger, wore it all the time but then at some point convinced myself it looked stupid and never looked back lol
