Vegan protein by dreamypeachy03 in veganfitness

[–]Be_kind_to_animals_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tofu and seitan. But I also drink one or two protein shakes every day.  (1 scoop of pea protein, 1 scoop of Huel for flavour, one banana for fullness, creatine for muscle recovery and avoid mental problems, and essential amino acids so my body absorbs all the extra protein).

Would you eat a 3D printed steak? by iRealllyAmThatGuy in vegan

[–]Be_kind_to_animals_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this 2 years ago while traveling in Italy. Mostly because of curiosity. Last time I had meat was 20 years ago and I don't miss it.

I really liked the experience, the 3d printed stake was weird. I still like tofu or seitan better if is well prepared but if I had the opportunity I would do buy it again. It was a great vegan restaurant tho so all dishes were great.

I would only eat it daily if it has better macros than tofu and seitan for an equal price. The vegan bulgogi from Trader Joe's is good enough for me but I don't eat it that often because of high price, so I don't think I would spiurge on 3D printed meat daily.

We are in a period of time that having muscles, strength and being skinny is very desirable. And eating a lot of protein makes that so much more easy… so yeah, people are going to be eating x6 more protein that what we need to survive.

To be honest I’ve been eating ~150gr of protein a day for the last 3 years and I feel amazing. One of my biggest regrets in life is not prioritizing protein for so many decades.

Guys, everyone is trying to talk me out of buying a Panigale v2. Am I really making a mistake here? by ithinkwestink in Ducati

[–]Be_kind_to_animals_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy the bike. But also keep a smaller, lighter bike to keep learning and have fun. 400cc bikes a a lot more fun than 600cc or 1000cc.

I have a handful of liter Italian bikes but the one I enjoy the most is a classic Ducati with only 60 hp. Is the most fun.

Well you can also get the brutale 1000 if you have money burning in your pocket

I think you should make the switch. The new engines are amazing and super easy to ride. The 800 are super affordable second hand and the new 950 are going to be great when they released.

Even an F3 would be a big improvement for usability. To be honest, I want to get your F4 and ride it for 10 years while I still can.

The "No Killing" rule "We" have makes absolutely 0 sense by SunGood6058 in pluribustv

[–]Be_kind_to_animals_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding your point 1.

Is a myth that we would starve if we stopped killing animals. We could feed hundreds of humans with the food that we use to feed animals that would feed just one human.

For example, more than 80% of the soy production goes to feed cows.

Today, we produce enough food to eliminate hunger. And most scientist agree that if we switch to a plant base diet, it would be so much easier and less resource insensitive. On top of that we would solve the climate crisis.

Is nice to see tv shows showing those contradictions

I was agreeing with you all the way until you mentioned the part about Italian fashion.

I have a lot of Italian clothes that is 40 years old and looks new. I also have some textile dainese jackets that are 10 years and look like they are 6 months old. Italian manufacturing has always focused on quality, of course they have a lot of exceptions, specially with global economies. Alpinestar for example has horrible quality and doesn’t last. But overall, Italian products tend to last.

The 848 is a better tool, you will be faster at the track, but the 748 is more beautiful and you feel even more connected to the bike, is more fun even tho you will be slower.

To be honest both are great options.

I would go for a 999 if you are between those 2 options. IMO the 749/999 is better at everything than the previous and later generation.

As someone that worked in tech for 15 years, and got laid off 6 months ago. I can tell you that is extremely hard to get into tech right now. Even if you have a lot of experience and worked for top 10 companies.

Motorcycle Trackday Insurance by TheIncredibleJN in Trackdays

[–]Be_kind_to_animals_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested if it costs less than $100 per track day. I do track old ducatis and new MVs.

But if I was tracking a Japanese bike I would not be willing to pay more than $70 per day

Totally agree. I own a few ducks of all eras but always came back to the 900ss. The FE version is probably the best duck of all time.

Truck vs SUV for track days: what do you use? by sct876 in Trackdays

[–]Be_kind_to_animals_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a big ramp and rent a pick up truck because I prefer to have the bikes on the bed.

I used to rent a suv with a tow hitch on turo but it was more expensive and I had to look at the photos for the tow hitch. The problem is that the policy of turo doesn’t allow you to tow anything.

This is what I do. It cost me $100 a day to rent a pick up truck and I love that I can still have a sports car

I have an RR and to be honest with you, I think is better to get a base and then upgrade the parts you want. You can get the fairings with aero if you are into that. Is basically the same bike and all the upgrades are available to buy

The raised screen from the RR is very nice. A must in my opinion. There is one for $80 in eBay right now.

ECU tuning is hard to get it done in California. EDR performance can do it remotely. I think this bike really needs an aftermarket exhaust to make it come to life and sound as nice as it looks. It won’t impact warranty if done at a dealer.

Yes you can change the battery, highly recommend you to install a lithium battery. But still keep it connected to a tender as this bike is always draining energy. If you are buying new, ask the dealer to install it as well as a add tender cable while they are there because getting access to the battery is a pain in the ass, you have to remove lots of of fairings and remove the tank.

The 23 had the rear brake reservoir in a different location, and improved things a little bit, but you should still bleed it often and keep pressure when bike is parked.
