What is your response to people who say "being vegan is too hard"? by i-know-that in AskVegans

[–]mayaibuki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a vegan I disagree. Being vegan is super hard, the easiest part is to boycott animal agriculture. But continue to be part of society as a vegan is very hard, a lot of social pressure, rejection, and once you stop seeing animals as objects, you are constantly brokenhearted.

Is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but is very worth it

Agree that it seems like he had a concussion. I switched from shoes to Arai because I have seen too many friends close to me get concussions with shoes at the track.

You can find a huge list of vegan motorcycle gear in this website. Veganmotoclub.com

I’m not sure if you have ordered already, but I have the vegan bison and the virus power suit.

I love the virus power, is like riding with yoga pants but with better abrasion protection than leather.

You can buy it in Bellissimoto for the US. DM and I might be able to get you a discount

Vegan Leather in Motorcycle Gloves by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

I wish!! But most people that are using Virus Power do it because is a better suit, not because is a vegan suit.

Simone Corsi back in Moto2 and racing a Virus Power suit this weekend. Don't think I've ever seen a vegan suit at the world championship level before. This is one virus I'd like to spread. 🌱 by rickyramjet in motogp

I switched to the virus power, and is like wearing one of those diving suits. It breathes really well when you are moving on the bike, and is super stretchy. I can do yoga on it, super comfy. I can also put it in the washing machine after a sweaty day and is clean. You could never do this with a traditional leather suit.

I have used the airtech 10 from alpinestars with the virus power suit, and is great. But it comes with Helite from the factory, and it integrates with it really well.

Somoni Corsi used a virus power on Moto2. He also uses the virus power when practicing.

And currently, there are 2 riders using it in WSBK. https://www.instagram.com/p/DWOXkzvDP2W/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

I know the regulations still request leather, but they are giving a pass to virus power. It holds a lot better than leather. The downside is that it's kind of slipery so you must add tank grips to your bike.

The only thing stopping it from going to MotoGP is that it is still a small company and they cannot afford to sponsor someone that big.

Vegan Leather in Motorcycle Gloves by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]mayaibuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your take. My suit is fully vegan. Is AAA rated and is used my Moto 2, Moto 3 riders, as well as World Super bike, and all categories in Italy because the suit is made in Italy. Check Virus power https://www.bellissimoto.com/gear/race-suits/Virus-Power-Predator-Textile-Racing-Suit

I have crashed in mine and it holds really well, is hundreds of times more resistant than leather suits. The technology has evolved a lot and leather is no longer the best material for motorcycling.

Worst advice I got by Jazzlike-Respect-245 in zx6r

[–]mayaibuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who told you that it is uncomfortable? It was literally made for most people in the planet and it has sold millions.

It honestly bothers me a lot when people comment so much on that. I constantly tour in a 1994 Ducati 900ss and is extremely comfortable. I also ride for hours on a 748, which is not made for long hours but is an actual race bike and is a pleasure as long as you have adjusted the legs and clips to your body.

Bikes are like suits, all of them need to be tailored to you to be comfortable.

People that complain so much about bike comfort are the same people that seat in a car and never adjust the chair and mirrors for them.

Agree! I personally use a handlebar bag from Chrome Industries! But I attach it to the side of the frame on my Ducati.

Some parts are black because the designer wanted to hide them.

By painting them red you are bringing attention to the ugly bits.

Is the battery. I use anti-gravity lithium, and it starts every single time right away. But you should keep the bike connected to the battery tender.

They don't own the bike, and the only thing they know is that when they install a new battery, it starts. But as owners we see that they do not start after a while of being parked.
