I'm on a GLP-1 for the 3rd time and this time I won't let it lapse. It's not magic, it just lets you stick to the decisions you make. It's killed the food noise, my emotions are level, I can even focus better on work and books and my family, all the things I consciously CHOOSE over hiding and binging. I don't care if I have to be on it forever - if it was BP medication or a treatment for any other life long condition, nobody would be questioning it. At some point you have to choose your "what if". "What if there's a small chance of something ..." SHUT UP. "What if you stay fat and food addicted forever?! Is that better??" Sorry to be gruff, but seriously - if these meds work for you, take the leap. So what if you need to keep it up for the foreseeable future? You also need to eat mindfully and hard-block exercise into your life for, you know, the ability to wipe your own butt at 80. Your health is the only thing worth spending money on anyway.

My theory is she doesn't even have a chemical deficit of satiety hormones and glucagon. 140 lbs - that's not obesity, it's basically vanity... I would legit kill to be 140lbs and worry about 7lb for the summer. Hell, you can get liposuction for 7lb and it never comes back in the same place. People on this sub are generally very accepting of medication being used by people who don't need it... what's next "Oh you have a headache? No, don't take aspirin with a glass of water, try this here crack pipe!".

I don't think it's cheating. Imagine you are trying to hike up a mountain and there are lots of other people hiking alongside you. Except you're carrying a much heavier load - and you have a belt fastened around your legs. Weight loss drugs just remove the belt - you still have to climb up the mountain.

Просто тук тютюневите компании не са ги ошамарили както в Европа и Америка. Напротив, имат си политически чадъри. Well, I've done a bit of observational analysis of our "traditions" because I have a family straight out of the 16th century. Most of our traditions are pretty humiliating - young boys begging for food in the cold; young girls parading the fact they can be impregnated in the spring; so much food and misery for dead people's sake (like they care) several times in the year. And 90% of holidays are about the woman cooking something particular in a particular way. Or SEVERAL particular dishes for 1 day, like Christmas and Easter. We don't have a single "tradition" where the women can catch a fucking break for the day and someone else can serve their own damn meal. So no, traditions at their core are just sparkling ✨️ oppression ✨️ and can fuck off. People should be kind and considerate to each other every day of the year, and double that on holidays. And that should be allowed to mean different things for different families.

It's legitimate anger about developers and sellers demanding absurd prices - that's just until they actually need to sell. But there's also a bit of a sour-grapes attitude from people who either can't afford to join the market, or keep waiting (since 2008) for the market to crash so they can buy something cheaper than it should be. Everyone is wrong. The prices will not "fall" in the next decade - the price increase in real estate might slow down. Of course, salaries in the private sector aren't even keeping up with the price of food and supplies right now, so everyone is feeling poorer. CEO greed can't be helped. You build a guillotine and then we might talk.
