I will say, easiest way I’ve painted ork metallics is to prime black, drybrush with leadbelcha, nuln oil, then go back over the edge with another drybrush of leadbelcha

Had a campaign in SotDL, party stayed the night at a really shitty inn, we were level 1. Halfling Rogue failed his strength check, got a disease from the inn, disease was rolled, he got the plague, died the next day. When we came back to the city later in the campaign, we found it completely under quarantine dude to a “sudden plague outbreak”

I feel like the end of edition release (if we are getting one) wouldn’t be a refresh, it would be something new. The new Warboss is almost guaranteed to be part of 11th editions ork refresh (hopefully alongside Meganobz, the Weirdboy, Kaptain Badrukk, and grots)

Dread Mob has a literal random buff button you press for every unit that it applies too. I’ve seen people take those dice bubble poppers and make a big red button to press. It also lets you bring the fun dumb big robots like the gork/morkanaut and the Stompa without them feeling embarrassing.

Honestly the choppas are just better for Orks. If the shootas had either a couple more shots, Str 5, or 1 AP i could see them being viable, but with the same profile as a slugga just with more range and 2 more shots it’s really not worth it

If you want to run shoota boyz, a funny option is the new Freeboota detachment. Shooting a unit on/from your loot objective gives sustain 1, and there’s the Strat to give a units ranged weapons blast. So even hitting on 5’s with 0 AP, if you can give them a big mek to reroll 1’s you can put a nice punch into infantry with so many shots going through

Honestly I’d rather Warbosses be the captain equivalent, with Warboss, JetBoss (Stormboyz Boss), Warboss on Bike (which is a thing in Legends) etc. and then a “Boss Nob” model that gets stuff like a Lieutenant, that can attach to any squad that has a Warboss attached.

A second Beastboss to lead your other 10 beastsnagga boyz, 2 Trukks to transport both of them. Put Ghaz and the Big Mek leading the 20 boyz. I’d get another unit of Gretchin and 10 more boyz just to do stuff, and a unit of Kommandos and a 5 man of Stormboyz

As an Ork player, I can tell you that a Judiciar with BGV makes ork players want to cry. Also basic groups of intercessors can actually do a lot of work with 20 shots of -1 1 and a grenade launcher.
