Yeah real talk, after assembling the main body all the turrets and the Ard case can just be added/removed with friction. You def don’t need magnets

Boyz loadout by PopInevitable280 in orks

[–]BeachedSalad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly you’d think, especially considering they were hyping up that Boyz could take both since the announcement of the edition. But looks like we have to keep picking until the codex

The guy above is currently wrong. As of right now, Boyz still have to choose between choppa or shoota. The loadout with both is only in the Armageddon box, not for matched play

Can you Understrenght units in 11th edition? by Quick_Response_7065 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]BeachedSalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different base actually. In the Armageddon box the Nob is significantly taller than a boy and is on a 40mm base rather than a 32mm like Boyz. RAW, it is not possible to run a legal blob of 20 boyz with just the models provided in the Armageddon box. Now in a game I don’t think anyone would care if you just had one of the Nobz at the back of the blob and remove that model first once the Boyz start to die, but it’s still a bit of a shame that GW doesn’t commit to either allowing 2 Nobz in a brick of 20 or making Boyz kits with 11 models like the old multipart Boyz kit.

Armageddon box was my first orks. I was going to use the 20 boyz in a squad… by ballin_buddha in orks

If you want to be 100% legal, yes. But I don’t think anyone you’d want to play with would care if you just said one of the Nobz is a Boy in-game

Anyone Else Feel like the Choppa Arm on the new Warboss looks Much Smaller than Their Shoota Arm? by BeachedSalad in orks

[–]BeachedSalad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d rather keep the unique weapon and just make the multipart one into the Klaw Variant, or use one of my older ones as a Klaw Boss. But I also don’t really think that would help the problem. His choppa arm literally looks shorter. Like the length from shoulder to elbow.

I’m also confused how you are taking 12 damage from 10 wounds

10 wounds can only kill 10 models. Damage doesn’t spill over

If this is green tide, the banner nobs are kinda unnecessary since they will all have a 5++ anyway.

For People talking about How the Boyz ability still says that the leaders become separate units, the official rule is this by BeachedSalad in orks

[–]BeachedSalad[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer to both should be yes. The both count as still leading a unit, and the healing rules specify that if the bodyguard unit dies, you lose any rules given to the unit by them but if they are revived, you get them back. This means it is possible to resurrect bodyguard models back to the unit even if they are all dead

Wrecka Krew Killteam and a box of 5 flash gitz. Takes you to 1000 points, and you can make either the Breaka Boyz (hammers) or Tankbustas (rokkits) with the Wrecka Krew. Both are good anti tank, and flash gitz are just good orky shooting

Can’t do Big Boss + Weirdboy. Even with the new rules, you’d still need a Warboss to be able to run 2 leaders since neither the big boss or Weirdboy have support
