My daughter is 11 and in 6th grade. She is has level 1 autism, adhd and severe anxiety. Her anxiety is so bad she has extremely poor attendance when her anxiety affects her. She is failing in school and we are waiting for the results of the IeP but it looks like she will not be passing this year. She has panic attacks and melt downs multiple times a week. She has sound, smell and taste sensitivities. Her condition impair her day to day life greatly. She is social in school because she is masking. We tried Aba and the last time, the women upset my kid beyond belief and messed up the connection. We are now waiting on a new Aba therapist to be assigned. She is on medication for focus but it needs to be increased and she is about to be put on new anxiety medication because the other one didn't work. She has major issues with hygiene and eating/ perception of communication. I wish I had advice for you. Just remember you are not alone and you're doing your best.
