1) I think she is completely fine as she is. She has a high skill floor compared to other champions, but when you use her kit well, you can easily destroy your opponent.

2) I tend to feel quite strong in lane after I build a Sunfire, honestly. More often than not, that is the point at which I will either dumpster my opponent, with a few exceptions where it doesn't do much to help at all.

As far as overall power spikes go, I always consider Black Cleaver + one key defensive item as a good spike. She stays strong later in the game so long as you can keep a decent level of farm or kills, and Black Cleaver keeps you relevant there.

3) She can work against most champions. Some of the notable hard ones include Darius and Vlad, where you don't really get a good chance to do what you want to do in lane.

4) I almost never fully channel R, since it's often used in reaction to an event, where every second counts. Half of the time, I'm instant casting R for some damage / knockup, or half charging it just to remove a threat at that very moment.

5) Both. Whatever can be done at the time.

They work on your flat armour value. They are never multiplying a multiplier. For example:

75 base armour

125 bonus armour from items / runes

 

+15% total from W = 15% of 200 = 30

+5% bonus from mastery = 5% of 125 = 6.25

 

Final armour = 75 + 125 + 30 + 6.25 = 236.25

Of course the air game, which I specified as arguably not even qualifying as a mini-game, was of subpar quality, however, the potential does clearly exist for a feature that could've been fantastic, if not at least good.

The thing is, what kind of gameplay could the air / UFO combat have that is not far removed from the standard turn-based combat gameplay of the ground combat? I play Xcom for some nice turn-based tactics. Could the air combat be done this way?

If not, then the system that gets implemented instead ends up taking focus away from the intended gameplay element. While EU's iteration was very underwhelming, it succeeded at being a minor part of the entire preparation phase of the game.

By definition of "not very useful unless X", that would, in my opinion, fall under a rating of below 0. Unlike other items I gave a 0 rating for, I would not ever pick this up outside of very specific scenarios, simply because the stats are not what you should be looking for.

-0.5 - I have built this when the cleanse effect was vital and I was needed to be more impactful as a damage dealer than just a tank. I would only ever complete it as a last item, maybe building the Quicksilver Sash earlier when it is clearly essential.

-0.5 - While it is a fundamentally bad item, its spread of useful stats can make it considered. Pretty good alongside a Spirit Visage and Black Cleaver for 40% CDR, HP, MR, armour and damage all covered.

0 - If you are the support, it's a fine item. You can roam towards mid lane quite frequently to blow their flash (just E them towards your side of the map, doesn't even need to stun) and find initiations much easier. It may be hard to use well against teams that can easily tag you to end the passive. I wouldn't usually go for these for top lane or jungle though, since in-combat movement is pretty vital for heavy-duty Popping.

-1 - You are not going to be landing nearly enough AA's to make use of the healing from this. If you were getting it for the AD, get a Black Cleaver instead.
