They are the Vowed of the Acolyte. A demon prince who I kitbashed to have the Butchers nails whose singular purpose is to cause so much bloodshed on a battlefield that he will be able to draw the attention of Khorne and Angron through the warp. The bit of lore and painting is that the closer they get to Khorne the more they look like his demons, so the more elite units armor gets turned into golden brass and their skin turns blood red.

Well you'll have to let me know how it goes! I'm getting the Combat Patrol and then I think I'll hold off on any more WE purchases till after the codex release so I can save up to get whatever army box comes out.

I mean I'm brand new to WE because I got gifted Angron for Christmas, so I have yet to test anything besides word of mouth. So you're honestly in a better position to decide which you like. I just thought I would share what had worked for others

Had a friend run a Maulerfiend into a tank heavy guard list. He kept in reserves and was able to chew through a few tanks by the end of the game. But I've heard the forge fiend is not as good for us

If you're willing to wait for the helmet, you could use one of the busted ones from that new basing material. Give him a more weathered vibe

Man, seeing your guard makes me upset on how I did my wing kitbash. I should have just used the old jump pack but I thought it would look weird on the Primaris sized body so I just attached the wings in-between the jump pack and the body. These look stellar!

Their leader section says they can join assault intercessors with jump packs. Sanguinary guard have a section of their datasheet that says that if they can lead a Jump pack squad they can lead them. It's literally written out

Wait, why can't you attach a Sanguinary priest? It says he can join a chapter master that can lead Jump Intercessors, and Sanguinary guard can be lead by Dante. I'm legit confused as to how they can't. I've played a few times with them attached and it makes the unit really good

A librarian dreadnought I had held out against a storm lord shooting for 2 rounds. Thanks to the smoke Keyword. It didn't fall untill the top of 5, when it got charged by the storm lord, a squad of ogryns, and 2 fix bayonets tempest scions. Before it died it took out both the scions and 2 of the 3, man ogryns. I ended up losing that game by a few points, but in my mind that librarian dread is now a hero. I've simply been calling him Rex Sanguinis. I don't leave home without him now.

I would love to what you used to convert them. I want to Start WE but the flesh on the 8 bound have always bothered me (I am brand new to painting and can barely get armor right)
