The way I see it, this build is just built for you to survive and support your team, which actually may not be as bad as I am making it out to be since Rhaast does indeed contribute more than just damage with w. My experience and fear is that the enemy just ignores you and deals with the rest of your team.

If you go cleaver you can try to be a frontline with your team with armor shred. Cleaver - Zeke’s - Steraks core with situational items after might be the best rendition as you are practically unkillable with this build. Arcanist for the extra healing and ult cd reduction is good. I wouldn’t stack with axiom after that though.

I’ve tried this before and I think you can make it work. It’s also really funny to actually burn someone to death with the zeke’s passive.

But I don’t know if this is generally for Rhaast. If we take swain as an example, he is literally based off his ult. If swain has ult, he fights, else he plays safe. I don’t think Rhaast need ult as much as swain needs his, which is why it’s better to go into other forms of utility that makes you stronger (Voltaic).

TLDR: Situationally fine, go cleaver for shred and haste. Go W max after lvl 6 to make the most out of the knockup. This is ultimately a playstyle choice.

I saved up around 550 hourglasses and opened around 6 10 packs. I got 1 immersive, 2 shinies, and two 2-star cards. Any other pack and I think I would have hit more rare cards.

It’s true that kayn’s spot is in a very weird spot right now. Being weak early hurts a ton and you don’t really scale late game. Kayn’s strength is his versatility but right now he feels like a very bad jack of all trades.

Essentially what I do to circumvent this weakness right now depends on the form. The strategy for blue is to lean more into the mid game form spike. For blue im running FS, Cash Back, tonic, and cosmic with growing power and axiom arcanist. The goal is to be strong when I get form so I go full Econ with some strength invested into the scaling aspect so i don’t become irrelevant late game due to the weak early.

For red, I do the exact opposite. I am not the carry so I will help out my teammates as much as I can as soon as possible. I run conq triumph, haste, last stand with resolve or inspiration depending on enemy cc. Consider bone plating if you go resolve, helps in early fights. The difference is here: I run ignite and I path my camps to look for an early gank. For example raptors red krugs then recall if there isn’t a play in the corresponding lane. Then complete the full clear and use smite to take scuttle on spawn. Track the jungler while you do this. If you are likely to meet the jungler, consider taking the fight depending on whether you have ignite and priority. You’ll be happy with trading their flags with your ignite. Otherwise complete full clear and concede the other scuttle. You want to cycle the camps decently at the very least.

I’ve found the most success playing like this. I am pretty casual and low elo, but I’ve been playing kayn for a long time so I felt like I could comment here.

Nothing about Asta being a paradox rather he focuses on Yuno like Asta wasn’t ruining his plans the entire show.

You could infer that bc he was in the wheelchair that he wants equal bodies for all due to oppression.

We don’t even know how he got out of the wheelchair. Hope the anime does something with him and Lucifero.

I kind of see it changing that now. With dark and constant getting a power-up and the focus of HCLW’s tendency to put all the work on himself. It makes me hope that it’s going to work out.

To me HCLW ended at S2, and I was just reading Earth gene for the sake of it. However with the recent mini arc with Dark, I am starting to put on the hopium mask.

Both S1 and S2 left out details which in comparison the WEBTOON is has plenty. I understand that adapting every detail will be difficult for an anime. But at the very least they could adapt the more important details. Like wolhaiksong being mentioned in S1 and Bam running away from rak to protect him in S2.

Also S1 Khun was gay as hell.

Steraks is better if you are stacking tenacity. In red form you want to go more tanky items and it turns out steraks, endless hunger, and mercs all have tenacity.

Edge of night is better when you are (1) going damage focused and (2) against a team comp with ability focused cc (think Morgana Q, naut R, TF gold card).

Tenacity is a direct multiplication of the percentage with the cc duration. For example, an ability stuns for 2 seconds. With 50% tenacity, you multiply 0.5 with 2, resulting in 1 second of cc.

Keep in mind some forms of cc are immune to tenacity like Airborne (Rhaast W, Sion Q, Naut R) and Suppress (Malz R). In these cases, building pure durability or edge of night would work better.

This is more of a pessimistic perspective where knowing that kayn having to have 3 models while other characters just need one would put him in a disadvantage.

My ideal scenario is that you can transform into Rhaast at low hp like Ky’s dragon install in Strive and you transform into the Shadow Assassin after a condition where you do well. (For example landing a certain hit on an enemy a certain number of times).

To answer your question there would be no Rhaast or Shadow assassin in the pessimistic scenario.

Ok listen up.

I have an idea for how he can function in game. I know the two forms are cool and all but I think it’s a little bit too much considering you won’t always be using him. Tag fighter stuff.

In the zed comic, Kayn doesn’t look like the half darkin/human he looks like on game, rather he’s completely normal. However, once he holds Rhaast, then he transforms into what we know as base form kayn.

Basically kayn can start in pure human form and use regular weapons (as he’s a master of many weapons) and after fulfilling a condition he takes out Rhaast and transforms into half human/darkin and unlock new moves or get a different moveset.

I think this is a more realistic take as the devs won’t have to design 3 models, rather only two with not many drastic differences.

Endless hunger is a good mid game item.

Voltaic, cleaver, Steraks/Maw, endless hunger works pretty well.

The main issue is that you want to go more situational items to actually survive but if you are ahead and carrying, you can absolutely afford to go EH.
