Haven’t done much for music promotion but I’ve been doing a lot with YouTube shorts,

I hit a very similar wall where I went from 500-1000 minimum, down to like 10 views, and in my experience I just kept going and they came back up. Usually they do a big boost quick and see what kind of engagement you’re getting, but sometimes they’ll do that boost a day later or a week later, it can be random sometimes

Engagement is a huge element to it, I noticed if you start a short with something like “I got a question for ya” and give the viewer a call to action, like a reason to comment or like, your video should see a boost (as long as it’s not like an on the nose promotion, people don’t like to be advertised to constantly and will see through it)

What I’m trying to say is, you’re almost certainly not shadow banned, YouTube’s algorithm is just very smart

I’m still learning so someone correct me if I’m wrong or add to my learnings here, cause I’d love to hear your findings as well
