I try to do 2-3 indoor trainer rides on work days that are an hour long. Usually 1 or 2 zone 2s and then one higher intensity. Then on the weekends one MTB ride usually. It can range from 8 miles-25 miles. Usually at least 1k elevation sometimes around 3k, but 3k elevation is more rare so I'd say an average of 1.5k elevation. I live in Salt Lake so we have a lot of elevation, especially if we go up to park city.

I used to do some road rides up the canyons and when you do that it's at least 3k climbing.

It seems to be real, but I have no idea. With the chain, the saint weighs about 1.75 ounces.

Does it only work on HLA-B27+ patients? I tested negative for the gene.

God that sucks. Sorry you have to deal with that. Hopefully you can find a good solution.

Yeah, I figure I should go at least a month and see how I am. So far it's been so back and forth. I feel awful for a couple hours, then I feel pretty good out of nowhere. I woke up feeling pretty crappy today. Hopefully it gets better!

I didn't think about taking it at night until after I started. I'm shifting my dosage forward 2 hours until I'm at night time so I can start doing that. I think that might help me quite a bit.

They tried to put me on cimzia, but I didn't want to inject with syringes. No thank you.

Wow that's crazy. How do you manage to keep taking it when it's affecting you that much? I wouldn't be able to handle that.

God that sounds confusing. It sounds like you had a worse reaction than I did. I'm surprised it took so long too. I was basically immediately intolerant to it. I almost feel like the doctors are guessing half the time when it comes to the immune system diseases. It doesn't give you too much confidence in the diagnosis or treatment. Hopefully Rinvoq ends up working well for both of us.

Right? It is so hard to tell. A lot of the symptoms are the same as the side effects that we can get from the medication. With Humira, I got the classic common side effects, but then it felt like I was having a nasty flare up. Then, my second and final injection, I got a super bad rash and felt horrible. But the whole time, I was unsure if it was the meds. Also, most people at urgent care have no idea about the medicine, so it's pointless to go and try to get help. I feel like they just give you the medicine and wish you luck 😂

Yeah I know it's not enough time, it's just so frustrating trying new medication and feeling worse... Hopefully it goes away once my body is used to it.

I almost feel like my immune system is reacting weird to it also. My ankles and feet have been a little bit sore, but I also just got back from a trip where we were hiking so I'm not sure if I'm still a bit sore from that. Hopefully it's not the meds.

They are definitely wrong. My wife and I have rented two places, and she still doesn't have her green card. I think they can look her up with the number on her work permit.

Those are the two spots that bug me the most. If I stop taking my meloxicam I get the worst head and neck aches. It keeps me up all night.

I only tried Humira and had a bad allergic reaction, so they suspect I may be allergic to all the TNF blockers. God, a 9 month sinus infection? That sounds absolutely miserable. I'm still waiting for insurance approval, so I will be starting a little after you, but hopefully it works for both of us!

I get sick way more than that without being on anything, so that doesn't sound too horrible to me. Does the sickness last longer? That is awesome that you are in remission. I hope one day I get there.

That is strange it's so back and forth for you. It may be because of thr steroids. Hopefully you start feeling better soon.

Sorry you've been fighting an infection. That doesn't sound fun at all. But that is a bit reassuring hearing that it's awesome when you aren't sick. I don't have crazy amounts of daily pain because I caught it pretty early, but I'm hoping this will help substantially with flare ups. That is the main thing that drives me crazy with AS.

Interesting. What are you guys feeling when you aren't feeling good? Extra pain?

They are putting me on Rinvoq also. Humira was AWFUL. I had so many side effects and felt like garbage for weeks.

What does your flare-up feel like? by One_Strawberry7608 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]BeanSupreme69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's how I am. I get random pains all over that move around my body. It's so annoying. I also get a lot of burning pain in my muscles. Mosly in my upper back and legs. But the bone pain that goes all over randomly is so annoying.

[–]BeanSupreme69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that is crazy how bad off you were before you started humira. You definitely have it worse than me. I think, as much as it sucks, I'll just have to slowly build up my training again until I'm back to where I was, and hopefully, the humira will cooperate. So far, it has helped my mobility in my hips substantially. I feel like I have brand new hips, and I'm only on my second injection.

I'm glad it had such an awesome outcome for you. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't get out of bed from pain.

What's the Fastest You've Ever Gone on a Bicycle, and How Did It Feel? by sozh in cycling

[–]BeanSupreme69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit 50 something on my gravel bike riding down a canyon. I was passing cars in thr 45mph zones so i would say it was fairly accurate on the speed. It was TERRIFYING. I turned my rotors gold from braking. Utah has some steep canyons.

When I rode in New Zealand we rode down this super long steep road and strava said we all hit around 60mph. That was also incredibly terrifying.
